My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
It's Just Me! : "I accept chaos; I'm not sure whether it accepts me!" - Bob Dylan

I'm a single, retired, straight male who loves to laugh. Laughter is the best cure for whatever ails the body, mind, and soul. ("The Human Race has only one really effective weapon and that is Laughter." - Mark Twain) I have a great sense of humor; even if it's a bit off center. A good conversationalist, I love nothing more than a good spirited back and forth dialog on any subject! Also, a good listener, I enjoy hearing others' ideas, opinions, and thoughts; even if, especially if, they differ from mine! ("I've never learned anything from a person who agreed with me." - Robert Heinlein) I believe that by really taking the time to talk and listen to the other person is the best way for you to get to know and understand him as an individual. ("I don't like that man; I must get to know him better." - Abraham Lincoln) It's, also, one of the best ways I know of to learn new ideas and concepts, to expand your mind, and broaden you horizons; I'm constantly searching for new ideas and concepts to learn and new ways to expand my mind and broaden my horizons. ("A man who views the world the same at 50 as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life. - Muhammad Ali) If I'm not continually learning and evolving I might as well be dead! But as Mark Twain Once commented "The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated!

"Don't compromise yourself you are all you've got!" - Janis Joplin

I'm extremely family oriented; as family is the most important area of my life! My oldest Son, his family, and I are very close; we see and talk to one another regularly. Unfortunately my youngest Son and I are currently estranged, but hopefully we will be able to reconcile. ("Even though your kids will constantly do the exactly the opposite of what you're telling them to do; you have to keep loving them just the same." - Bill Cosby) I'm, also, close to my older Sister, my younger Brother, and their families. Distance keeps us from seeing each another as often as we would like,, but we do talk and e-mail one another regularly. ("The only rock I know that stays steady, and the only institution I know that works is family." - Lee Iacocca)
Peace, Senior47 : "I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I need to be!" -Douglas Adams; "You come into this world with nothing, and you leave with nothing; so you'd better do something while you're here." - Alex Van Halen; "I want to stand as close to edge as possible without gong over, Out on the edge you can see all kinds of things you can't see from the center." - Kurt Vonnegut; "I am an idealist without illusion." - JFK
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm retired; so my time is mine. I spend a lot of time with my son, his family and friends. My Granddaughter and I often go on what she calls dates. I babysit often. I exercise my body daily. I read a lot to exercise my brain daily. I listen to music daily.

I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking and listening to others; always interested in others' ideas, thoughts and opinions; learning from others; spending time with kids; mediating disagreements; providing a compassionate non judgmental shoulder to cry on; cuddling, hugging, kissing; giving positive support to family and friends; keeping a positive youthful outlook on life; providing my female partner sexual pleasure and companionship; analyzing baseball strategies and players.

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm not babysitting my Granddaughter; than I'm either visiting with friends or at home just chillin' and contemplating my navel!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That my Granddaughter has me wrapped around her little finger; all she has to do is look at me with her big blue eyes, smile, and say Grampa; I totally melt.
