I am generous, goofy, and thoughtful.
My Self-Summary
Well lets see... I guess it all started when I was born, then I had
a few birthdays - lots of fun, sad, and happy things happened in
between - and here we are today thinking of what to write to
introduce myself. Seems like you'll get a good sense of who I am
from the questions below - and whatever other burning questions you
have I'm happy to answer anytime.
What I’m doing with my life
Work'n behind a computer at an environmental consulting firm,
enjoying trying new recipes in my new (to me) studio apartment,
still unpacking and decorating, looking for some volunteer
opportunities working with teens or college age kids in a mentoring
type capacity, creating endless possibilities for my new life in
Bellingham - as I moved here about a year ago from the Bay Area,
California. Enjoying all the awesome California weather we've been
having walking around Blvd Park, Zuanich Point, Fairhaven, and lots
of dinner parties with family and friends out at Lake Whatcom.
After going to the Summer Meltdown music festival I want to make my
own hula hoop and get back to how good I was as a kid.
I’m really good at
Making lasagna, decorating holiday sugar cookies, multitasking,
carving intricate jack-o-lanterns, listening to and comforting a
friend that calls upset at anytime of day or night, hiding presents
and making treasure hunts, fixing minor things around the house,
coordinating trips/events and making sure nothing is forgotten,
cooking dinner for a loved one and being a friendly face to come
home to.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm easy to talk to, friendly, can be shy/introverted - but then
shift to talkative once the ice is broken, optimistic, and silly.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Angels and Demons, Da Vinci Code were probably the last novels I
read and finished.
House M.D. is my only TV addiction - other than that Ace of Cakes
occasionally. But I guess I was prompted to list movies huh? Coach
Carter, Deja Vu, The Holiday, Love Actually, GI Jane, The Secret,
Crash, and others I can't think of right now. I love all kinds,
action, chick flicks, comedy, thought provoking, etc.
Music: my new local favorite is Vicci Martinez, Jackie Greene,
Blvd, Pink Floyd, Evanescence, Freedom, Journey, Genesis, Lacuna
Coil, Crossfade, The Police, AC/DC, jazz, and much more.
Food: I love tickling my taste buds with new yummy flavors -
especially Thai and Indian, but Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Sushi,
new favorite - Greek. Healthy stuff, lots of vegetables. Pesto,
coconut, salmon, mango or almond anything (not all together -
though hmm do I see a new recipe forming?)
The six things I could never do without
family & friends
water (it's pretty much all I drink)
Google
a good comfy pillow
shelter (at least a tent)
clothes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Well today....what to type in these boxes. Other days...how my
sister and mom are doing, what to do after work, reminiscing, what
craft project should I start next and who should I make it for?
What to make for dinner, what possibility to create next, what do I
want in life? And the eternal question - where the heck's the peck
of pickled peppers that Peter Piper picked.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out at home relaxing, meeting up with a friend, running
errands - I try to surprise myself and live in the moment. In the
near future perhaps getting ready for a date with you! (wink, wink)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I own all the seasons of Friends, but I own all the Star Wars too -
so don't worry too much.
You should message me if
you have a free plane ticket anywhere in the world that you're
trying to get off your hands (or if you just wanna say hi).
