My self-summary
Do you remember those Scholastic Scary Stories books with those creepy drawings in them as a kid? Crack open my head and its full of that and a few pieces of the Aggro Crag. And several seasons of Jeopardy for good measure.

I grew up on a small farm, wanted to be a paleontologist.
I moved to the city and out of the burbs as soon as I could, got my BFA, worked for a bit in jobs relating to my degree, went back and got my Masters of Design at SAIC, and now I'm back to work again.

So I ride my bike just about everywhere, to the point where I some times will just ride the whole 20 mile commute home from work.....so if you don't ride a bike, just stop reading here. Most of my social activities are based around the petite girl fixed gear bike gang that I'm a member of, basically I'm a manic fixie dream girl.

I find it easier to just show you the pictures than try to describe it

I more or less am doing a job that my 8 year old tomboy self would think was fucking rad. Building gigantic stuff, driving around heavy machinery, using highly specialized industrial equipment, and sometimes traveling around the country to set this stuff up.
I’m really good at
long walks...er...bike rides in dilapidated industrial corridors on overcast sunday afternoons.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
David Foster Wallace, Italio Calvino, Georges Bataille, Bernard Rudofsky, William Gibson, Susan Sontag, Phillip k Dick.

Back when I had nextflix, i believe it said that my preference was for "dark cerebral" movies. Movies with astounding costume design are also a draw for me, The Cell and Holy Mountain are visually stunning in that sense.

The Science Chanel, IFC, BBC, or PBS usually is what I put on. Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Hannibal, Adventure Time, Doctor Who.

Zola Jesus, Pictureplane, Supreme Cuts, Holy Other, Iceage, Gotye, The Knife, Salem, Modest Mouse, Neutral Milk Hotel, Com Truise, James Blake, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Cut Copy, Portishead, Austra, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Animal Collective, Washed Out, Neon Indian, Big Freedia. And NPR. a whole lot of NPR
