My self-summary
Oh, does any of this stuff really make any difference? I am awesome, is there anything else you need to know? Yeah, I guess there is. I don't go around comparing myself to others, but when I think about it, I am unusual. I am pretty damn smart, but I don't hold it over anyone's head. I can learn something from anyone. I am not only book smart, but also am emotionally smart, whatever that means. Maybe a bit reclusive, slightly nerdy, but I do love being around people. Oh, and I am modest too. Are you buying this?
What I’m doing with my life
I started a company building custom motorcycles after years of working in the corporate world for many years. I found it is harder than it seems to make money at it. So moving back into the 9 to 5 and building the business on the side. It helps that I really like both.
I’m really good at
Driving fast, and of course the required of avoiding the cops. The fine art of not giving a shit (can I say that) while still caring. Seeing beneath the words someone says to understand what they are really saying.
The first things people usually notice about me
I tend to think people don't notice me. But I suppose they do. When they do, they notice that I make eye contact. Sometimes it makes people uneasy. I've been told many times that I have kind eyes, so if it makes people uneasy, it isn't on me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Mad Men - it's simply great drama, well written, well acted.
I love Sushi and off-the-charts spicy food. And while I love books, movies, shows music and food (and wine), they're a relatively small part of my life. I read books about self growth and spirituality. The most recent and impactful book was "The Power of Now." I get talked into reading great fiction and I find myself loving it, but I don't seek it out myself. (I LOVED "Running with scissors, my favorite.)
The six things I could never do without
I'v been backpacking living on freeze dried food and anything I can find on my travels. Other than food and water, there really is nothing I can't "live without". It's just a question of how long I am willing to live without it. I am a serious coffee addict, though I have quit before, I still go back. I can't go for more than a few weeks without seeing my son. Can't go more than a few weeks without being out in nature. There would have to be a very compelling reason for me to go without sex for more than a few moths.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to become filthy rich while helping people and society in the process.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday is too much like any other night. Sometimes working late, sometimes at the movies with the kid, sometimes at home with Ben & Jerry and a good movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ask! I like answering this question on the second date :)
You should message me if
You're curious about me and want to know more. Really, though, this question should ask "you should message me *back* if..."
