My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Going to say this right away. I'm a big city guy and I'll always be a big city guy. If you're looking for a redneck, I'm not what you seek. When I go out, it's usually to a concert, film, art exhibit, trivia contest, new restaurant, etc.. Something with culture. My wanderlust takes me to Chicago quite often these days. Typical indoor activities include cooking, Netflix/Hulu (cable is a fossil), reading, board games, or playing the occasional video game. My hobbies tend to be a bit on the nerdy side.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently working as a director for the CBS 58 morning show. I also volunteer for local indie film productions in my spare time. The dream right now is either to move to Chicago for TV work or get in with Milwaukee Film.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Really? Do I brag here? Not my style, but I'd say I'm fairly good at what I do (television and film production). I'm also a pretty decent photographer and cook. And I'll kick your butt at Mario Kart!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My offbeat sense of humor. I tend to also look more serious than I actually am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Slaughterhouse Five (anything Vonnegut, really), Hyperion series, PKD, Dune, anything by Bret Easton Ellis, Lovecraft, Palahniuk, Murakami

Movies: Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Oldboy, The Fall, Pulp Fiction, Kicking & Screaming(Baumbach, not Will Ferrell), Rushmore, Hero, Blade Runner, Suspiria, Evil Dead, Society. My favorite movies of 2013 were The Hunt, The Act of Killing, and The Great Beauty.

Television: Game of Thrones, Hannibal, Arrow, Fargo, Archer, South Park, Daily Show/Colbert, Louie, Arrested Development, The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Wilfred, Walking Dead, Futurama/Simpsons

Music: Pixies, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Devotchka, Beirut, Sufjan Stevens, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Arcade Fire, Cake, The Flaming Lips, They Might Be Giants, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Gogol Bordello. In 2013, I saw over 100 bands live, so, uh, guess I like concerts.

Food: Wide open. Big foodie. Always open for something new. Odd Duck, Wolf Peach, Blue's Egg, and Pastiche are my favorite Milwaukee restaurants.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music. A good book. Fine company. Netflix. A sense of humor. Some form of caffeine.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The imminent zombie apocalypse. My next bank heist. Why hot dogs come in packs of 8 and hot dog buns come in packs of 10. An alternate universe in which I'm a telepathic space dolphin. Trying too hard.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Making an OkCupid account because I'm hip and with it like that. Obviously.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've watched Project Runway and occasionally enjoyed it.
