My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello Owensboro! New town, new profile update, eh? I'm Seth. I design and write about games for a living. I love my job. I also love good movies, good food, and great conversation. I don't love clubs, bars, drugs, or sports. I hate crowds. I love quiet nights talking life, eating great food and maybe playing a game. I can be lazy but I will do anything for my friends. If I don't like someone I will make that clear. I'm not the best at sugar coating my feelings. If I like you then you will be hard pressed to find a more loyal friend. If I don't then I'm not going to waste my time with you. I am incredibly open. Nothing you say is going to shock me. I've seen worse.

I do a (usually) weekly Podcast called the Ludocast so if you want to hear my voice and get to know my opinions on game related topics head to or check out the archives of our Live Youtube Ludocasts.

I say it below but I want to say it here as well. I weigh 300 pounds. I don't exercise a ton though that isn't really my key issue. I took medication for much of my life that caused me to gain a lot of weight. I have been off that medication for about a year and I've lost about 50 pounds or so without really changing any of my diet or exercise habits. I am still losing at a regular rate so hopefully one day I'll get to a more reasonable weight. Anyways, point is that if you can't stand a big dude then don't bother.

Okay last thing for now. I am very socially liberal. If you are religious then we aren't going to get along. I strongly support gay rights, women's rights, minority rights, and really the right for every person in this country and throughout the world to be treated equally. If that isn't something you agree with then don't bother. I partly wanted to add this because of how big an issue sexism is in gaming. Both gamers and game designers can be super sexist people so I just wanted to make it clear that I am not that type of person.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just moved to Owensboro, KY so I'm currently exploring the area and trying to get a hang of where things are.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening and rationalizing. I try my best to never let my emotions cloud my judgement. I do what makes sense not what is emotionally or socially acceptable. I solve problems with logic. I'm also very non-violent. Fighting either with fists or words doesn't solve anything. Examining the issue and finding the best solution for everyone involved does.

EDIT: I realized this might make me seem a bit cold. I do get emotional. I love a lot of people very strongly and I deeply care about the well being and happiness of my friends and family. I'll always listen to a friend in need and do my best to comfort them. My point in the above was that I try very hard to solve problems as rationally as possible. When someone questions me or accuses me of something I do my best to explain my side of the story as clearly as possible. I of course sometimes get angry but I try to always deal with issues as quickly as possible. Avoiding confrontation almost always makes things worse. The quicker you deal with an issue the less time it has to fester and the higher chance you have of dealing with it without a shouting match. Simple really.

Probably my weight. I weigh over 300 lbs. I've been losing weight but I'm still very heavy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - I sadly don't read nearly as much as I used to. I tend to start a lot of books but end up not finishing them. Recently I read the first two segments of Cloud Atlas which I enjoyed and the first third of Heart of Darkness which I also enjoyed. I have Blood Meridian sitting on my shelf unopened. I'll get to it eventually.

Movies - I'm a huge movie fan. In 2012 my favorite film was Lincoln. Daniel Day Lewis is outstanding. During 2013 I didn't see as many movies as I'd like and my favorite currently would be Gravity and I thought Frozen was a great return to form for Disney. In 2014 I was blown away by The Imitation Game and this year (2015) my top film has to be Inside Out from Pixar. As for all time favorites, I'd go with A Clockwork Orange, American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Pan's Labyrinth, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, The Dark Knight, City of Lost Children, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Grave of the Fireflies, Wall E, Memento, Titanic, The Motorcycle Diaries, Into The Wild, and many more. I'm an animation lover. Everything from Disney, to anime, to Eastern European stop motion, to Looney Tunes.

TV - Super hero shows are kind of my thing. Along with the Ludocast I co-host a semi-seasonal Super Hero Show titled S4. So I watch Agents of SHIELD, Arrow, The Flash, Daredevil, Gotham, Constantine, Agent Carter and so on. I plan on watching Legends of Tomorrow in the Fall and boycotting the sexist trash that is Supergirl.

Music - I'll listen to most any genre. I enjoy a ton of different bands and styles from pop fluff like Katy Perry, to Rap like Eminem, to boy bands like The Backstreet Boys, to classic rock like Simon and Garfunkel, to techno like Basshunter, to more indie stuff like Bright Eyes. Pretty much anything goes on that front.

Food - I love food. I enjoy creative food. Something with effort put into it. I love everything from cheeseburgers at Five Guys to the top places in Chicago and New York.

EDIT: Saw some people put their favorite games here so I thought I would add that as well

Games - Half Life 2, Braid, Journey, Limbo, Bioshock, Mass Effect trilogy, The Last of Us, Gone Home, The Witcher series, Counter Strike, Prince of Persia, Heroes of Might and Magic, Super Mario Brothers, Sonic the Hedgehog, Gears of War, Uncharted, Sly Cooper, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, Beyond Good and Evil, Psychonauts, Metal Gear Solid, Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, Bayonetta, Portal, God of War, Flower, Spec Ops The Line, The Walking Dead, Dead Space, Cart Life, The Longest Journey, Metal Arms, and a ton more. I couldn't come close to naming everything.

If I seem interesting or if you want to know more about me.

I'm not super picky about body types. I don't really have a specific type of girl I find attractive. As in, I don't have a perfect girl in my head. A pretty face is kind of the number one thing for me and I don't even know how I would define a pretty face. Regardless, there is a chance I will find you attractive regardless of your weight or height or hair, eye, or skin color.

I'm not a huge party person so if you are the type of girl who enjoys smaller, quieter gatherings of people I think we would get along.

Lastly, if your entire message consists of the word, "hello" or any of its derivatives I am just going to ignore you. At least write enough to prove you aren't a chatbot.
