I enjoy movies that freak me out or make me think, songs that make me sing at the top of my lungs, stargazing in the desert and indulging in fondue.

I get giggly over silly things like alliteration. I prefer summer rainstorms with lightning and thunder over any other type of weather. Kissing in the rain makes me melt.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

Cherishing being alone for the first time, while simultaneously despising it.

Plotting to spider-proof my bathroom. Seriously, every time I take a shower I have an eight-legged audience. Creepy, no?

The ridiculous, yet elusive quest for 100% completion of my profile.

Contemplating leaving home behind. I am a native Nevadan (FYI: it's Nuh-Vă-Duh, not Nuh-Vah-Duh), though I might be ready for greener pastures.

Cuddling/Snuggling.
Being creative, when given enough time to perfect my vision.
Going ballistic on the details of things.
Not being able to reach stuff.
Knowing the perfect thing to say, after the time to say it has passed.
Obtaining information.
Subterfuge, yet I'm honest.
Driving, sometimes way too fast; and getting good parking spots.
Finding solid objects with my shin or toes in the dark.
Spelling!

What I'm NOT very good at:
Cooking complicated things (though I've recently significantly improved).
Most sports.
Pretending to be interested in sports other than those equestrian-related.

Survey says: My eyes. No, really, that's what I was told.

{Someone recently mentioned that I may be deceptively conservative in appearance. I'm currently sans labret piercing and now that it's chillier outside I most often wear pants, so my tattoos are not visible. Conservative, however, I am decidedly not.}

NEWSFLASH: All of a sudden, it seems people are noticing the blood red hair. Go figure.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

I love to read and can often be helplessly distracted by devouring a good novel, but I'm seriously defunct from my list of "What To Read As An Adult." Books I've enjoyed recently include Angels & Demons, The DaVinci Code, The Hot Zone, Demon In The Freezer, Memoirs of a Geisha and The Hollows series by Kim Harrison. I also admit an immature addiction to Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series. Because sparkley vampires kick ass!

Currently reading: Vampires: In Their Own Words, edited by Michelle Belanger (Thank you, again, by the way, R.)

I enjoy suspenseful and dramatic movies; really anything with an intriguing plot that grabs your attention by the collar and refuses to let go until the credits are through. Movies that make you go, "Huh?" and then, "OHHHH!" I'm sometimes a sucker for those cutesy romantic comedies, especially where Julia Stiles is involved. I can't watch horror films alone, but I will watch them if given the right motivation.

Amongst my recent musical favorites (read: on repeat constantly) you will find Death Cab For Cutie, Matt Nathanson, Katy Perry, Gob, John Legend, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Norah Jones, Sara Bareilles, Colbie Callait, Jason Mraz and NeedToBreathe. I tried to fight it, but I am currently totally obsessed with Ludo. ADORE them!

My culinary preferences are abstract and variable. I don't usually eat fish or tomatoes. I favor fruit over vegetables, with strawberries and figs vying for the top spot. (Strawberries usually win.) I'm a serious carnivore and have a fondness for beef. I like to drink champagne for no reason. I am a self-professed turophile; also, dark chocolate is a weakness. I love tea, especially white, and anything pomegranate. And caramel. Yum.

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

Six? Other than the obvious?

* Physical affection, be it hugs or kissing or just cuddles.

* Engaging literature.

* Thought-provoking banter, over cocktails or coffee (or tea).

* Dark chocolate. Or the internet. I can't decide.

* Music that moves me, and also to sing to.

I'm rebellious and my "sixth thing" just... isn't one thing. So sue me.

* Indulgences; the things I know I could live without, but that I'd rather not ever give up, as they make me happy. These include, but are far from limited to, smutty romance novels, hot showers, steak, champagne, caffeine, savage sex, big fluffy pillows and lingerie. And my Aeropostale thermal hoodie.

I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit

The future, and how my actions today and tomorrow will affect it... How we as a society are dooming our children, and our children's children. Time. Mistakes I've made. What can I do today to try to make it better than yesterday? And plenty of random stuff.

Some examples:

- Vampires, biting, being bitten and blood.
- Pirates, pirating, treasure and booty.
- Vocabulary. I am sesquipedalian and loquacious.
- Winning the lottery and consequences thereof. Though we don't have it in Nevada.

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit

Friday night is not special.

I have been asked to pick up the five am opening shift on the weekends, so... Friday nights are going to have to be designated for sleeping soon.

I like to try new things and check out new places, within certain boundaries. Maybe you can suggest something to make Friday nights, or any other, less "typical"?

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit

I hate clothes... Completely despise them. (Exceptions made for socks and really cute underwear.)

Also, I ♥ Starbucks. It's not my fault, though. They are seductively enticing and they steal my money. (Update: And now they PAY ME, too!)

I'm very left-handed. But, shhh... It's a secret.

I think I'm in love with Canada.

And I eagerly await Questionable Content updates. Every night.
