My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a lifelong Portland resident who recently made a big move from NE to SE.

I am a geek with my main interests being comics and gaming, although I like many other things as well. My interests are many and varied. I'm a bit inexperienced at dating and romance in general due to fairly insular childhood and the diffident years of my teens and early twenties. As a result I only have a few very close friends, but enjoy making new ones.

I love Halloween and can be a bit of a spooky boy at heart.

I try to be kind and reserve judgement.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Work, writing settling in to a new neighborhood. Designing board, card, and role-playing games. Playing D&D. My writing is mostly fiction, but I'm good at nonfiction essays, as well.

Currently taking a break from school to struggle for the legal tender.

I have a comics blog.

Check it out!

I think matching in things two people like is probably less important than why they like those things. That written:

Books: Almost anything by Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Alan Moore, Phillip K. Dick, Robert Anton Wilson, Thomas Ligotti, Thieves & Kings (possibly my favorite fantasy comic), The Man Who Was Thursday, Snow Crash, The October County, Hearts in Atlantis, The Great Gatsby, The Einstein Intersection, Astro City

Movies: May, magnolia, Man of the Century, Martin, Bride of Frankenstein, The Howling, Reefer Madness: the Movie Musical, Dawn of the Dead, Rushmore, The Royal Tennenbaums, The Man Who Wasn't There, Secret of NIMH, Watership Down

Music: David Bowie, The Smiths, The Cure, They Might Be Giants, Talking Heads, The Velvet Underground, the Mountain Goats, XTC, Rasputina, Mariee Sioux, Marvin Gaye, DJ Shadow, the Undertones, Boards of Canada, almost everything from Ghost Box, The Decemberists, Brassy Hanna-Barbarra Theme music, cynical musicals.

They didn't ask, but games: Scrabble, D&D 3rd edition, Promethean: the Created, other New World of Darkness games, Munchkin in any permutation, but especially Munchkin Cthulhu

Food: Sushi, Tex-Mex, Fish and Chips, curry, salmon, all that stuff we Portlanders rave about.

I'm probably pretty kinky by most definitions. I have a Fetlife profile for evidence.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You think I might be odd enough to be wonderful.

I'm not sure exactly what that means, but it sounds good inside my head.

There is a preference towards geeks and nerds who aren't ashamed of it. Indeed, nerd pride is a significant attraction to me.

If you stand at an intersection of nerdy, spooky, and kinky, I'm especially interested.

I'm definitely on here more for dating, than meeting new friends, but I'm open to both.

Well I've met someone through the site, so I'm not looking at dating options right now.
