I am lighthearted, geeky, and spontanous..

My Self-Summary

I grew up in Greenville and have lived here my entire life. I am a graduate from ECU with a degree in Media Production and a minor in Political Science. I am not your typical person, meaning I stand out and stuff. Damn if sarcasm isn't hard to express through text. Anyway, I guess I could describe myself as soft-spoken at times and outgoing at other times. I hate it when people try and change who I am. I really like it when I can have a good conversation with a someone and I am pretty open-minded. I am up for almost anything at a moments notice.

What I’m doing with my life

Currently, just working a Tech Support job. It pays the bills and then some so I am not complaining. Using the job to get to know the company and move ahead in their in-house production department for commerical work.

I’m really good at

lateral thought or what is called "thinking outside the box." Also, I have an unusually strong sense of perception.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books:
Survivor - Chuck Palahniuk
Choke - Chuck Palahniuk
Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card
Neuromancer - William Gibson
Rules For Radicals - Saul D. Alinsky
I Am America (And So Can You!) - Stephen Colbert
Watchmen - Alan Moore
Transmetropolitan - Warren Ellis
Preacher - Garth Ennis

Films:
Blade Runner, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Audition, Ichi The Killer, Grindhouse, Equilibrium, The Matrix, A Better Tomorrow, The Killer, Fight Club, Sin City, Battle Royale, Snatch, Pulp Fiction, Donnie Darko, Garden State, Haute Tension, Oldboy, Sympathy For Lady Vengeance, Serenity.

Music:
(Note: To list all the bands I listen to would take all day so I just going to put a sample of the genres and bands I do listen to.)

*Genres: Industrial, darkwave, dark electro, techno, drum and bass, electronica, metal, goth rock, punk, ska, rock, 80's.

*Bands: The Misfits, Rise Against, Dropkick Murphys, NOFX, Depeche Mode, Dieselboy, Ladytron, Freezepop, Muse, The Birthday Massacre, Skinny Puppy, VNV Nation, Placebo, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Assemblage 23, Voltaire.

Food:
Sushi and seafood. Blame my parents for raising me near the water.

The six things I could never do without

I could never do without my friends, my books, my collection of films, video games, my phone, and a keg of Highland Oatmeal Porter.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

how I can contribute what I know and what I can do to the world. Sometimes I just think about things in a spiritual sense. Not that I am very religious, but I just have this feeling that death can't be just the end. There is too much weird stuff in the world to just ignore the spiritual side of humanity and focus on the scientific.

On a typical Friday night I am

picking up a six pack or two of so called 'snob' beer, mostly micro-brews or local brews, hanging out with my friends, watching and making fun of bad movies, and playing the occasional card game.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am an avid fan of karaoke...not that I am a bad singer or anything. Let's just say if two bars I would go to are open and one has a karaoke machine, the choice is easy.

You should message me if

you can compliment literacy with intelligence. When I have conversations, I value a person that is either as intelligent or even smarter than me.
