I am a first-class dork, guilty as charged, a huge sci-fi fan and gamer (grew up on Star Wars, Zelda, and Mario Brothers....and yes, I do own a replica Master Sword.)

I went to college for History, in which I have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. My particular area of emphasis is Spanish history (and even more specifically, the early Franco regime)...but if it's history, I usually find it interesting.

I have a healthy love of sports (baseball, soccer, football, college basketball, hockey...I like watching all of these sports). My teams are the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. In terms of personal sports, I played soccer for thirteen years growing up, and I still enjoying playing. I also enjoy playing basketball with friends, but purely just for fun.

I love having fun with friends, though I'm reserved until I get to know someone. I enjoy staying in with friends/going to a friends place to hang rather than going out, though I will occasionally do both.

Also, for the sake of full disclosure, I am married but in an open marriage.

In a professional sense, I am currently working an in-between job that I am proud of, but is just a filler until my given career starts hiring again. Like so many of my cohort, this economy has limited greatly my job opportunities.

In a personal sense, I'm enjoying life in between time-clock punches, with a healthy dose of friends and games whenever possible.

Favorite movies: Star Wars (original trilogy, please, but prequels aren't ALL bad), Batman Begins/Dark Knight, The Blues Brothers, The Producers, The Birdcage.

Favorite TV shows: Doctor Who, Torchwood, House, The Big Bang Theory, M*A*S*H, Family Guy (old seasons preferred).

Favorite food: A good steak, Mexican food, Chipotle, Chicken (in many different forms and flavors), pizza.

Favorite games: The Legend of Zelda series (Ocarina of Time FTW, but also love Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess), Mario (particularly old school Marios, Super Mario Galaxies and Paper Mario series), Super Smash Brothers, Batman Arkham Asylum/City, Soul Calibur series.
