Hello there! My name is Rich. Before I try to sell myself here, you should know that my closest friends tell me (constantly) that I'm Rich...but not smooth. That should give you your first clue as to what type of person I am. I'd like to think that I can be smooth when I want to be, but I'm sure I usually end up being as smooth as sandpaper. Sandpaper can still be smooth, right? Well at least the other side can be anyway. I'm usually pretty laid back. I'm also usually goofy, unless the situation calls for me to be calm, cool and collected. C cubed.

I can a bit shy at first, I'll admit, but I tend to warm up to people fairly quickly, so be warned. I'm a huge movie buff, so if you are a movie fan, then that is definitely a plus. I'm also an aspiring (i.e. unsuccessful) screenwriter, so I have a large and wacky imagination that I usually put to good use. I'm a very good listener, and I love making people laugh...the latter explains the occasional goofiness.

I'm also a big music fan. Currently, I've been "macking out" to movie soundtracks and other orchestral music, but I also like techno, alternative music, some classic rock and the occasional rap song. Pretty diverse taste, if I say so myself.

Long story short, I'm a guy who's up for anything; up for a night out as much as a night in watching TV or playing goofy board/card games. I'm also a bit tired of the whole club hoping scene, so if you're the type who'd rather just go to a small, cozy bar, a sports bar or some place that doesn't even rhyme with bar, then please don't be a stranger!

I'm currently working for a big text book publishing company in downtown Boston. I love it so far, but I'm still just a customer service punching bag. I've been thinking about my future in this company, and I've started planting the seeds of advancement, so hopefully in about a year I'll be moving up, up and away.

Favorite Books: Fight Club (yes it was a book before it was a movie), Lord of the Rings, Dexter, Nerve Damage, The Dresden Files, The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit (an excellent book about trying to be your own person)

Favorite Movies: Fight Club, Lord of the Rings, Blade, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Dodgeball, Bladerunner, Aliens, V for Vendetta, Serenity, Casino Royale, Pirates of the Caribbean, 300, Die Hard, The Usual Suspects and so many, many more...

Favorite Music: Movie soundtracks, mostly (big shock there!), but I also listen to a lot of Alternative Music, techno and classic rock. My favorite bands/composers are Metallica, Disturbed, The Rolling Stones, Crystal Method, the Von Bondies, Paul Oakenfold, Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, and Hans Zimmer.

Favorite Foods: Pizza, burgers, Lobster, and people (haha, just kidding...or am I?)

Either hanging out over a friends house, going out to dinner and/or a movie, or just hanging out at home reading, writing or watching TV.

I once IMed a girl (that I was interested in) pictures of herself accidentally, thinking that I was sending them to one of my friends. Needless to say, things didn't work out with said girl. This is just another example of how I continue to earn the title of "Rich but not Smooth."
