I am a dynamic go-getter, a genius, and a man from Ireland.

My Self-Summary

Hey! Here's Adam. He's a young guy, his life is music, he loves to laugh. I wonder what his favourite cheese is? I think I should end my poor attempt at adapting a Black Books quote into this self-summary and actually speak in the first person. So as my poorly skilled (yet strangely alluring) narrator has advised you, my name's Adam, and I'm your not so typical tall dark and handsome kind of guy. Now that I've used my main one liner, I realise now that I shouldve written this section first, not last, because all the best information is within other sections. I'll keep that in mind for future references. Read on if you'd like to know more

What I’m doing with my life

I've just finished my Science degree at Melbourne Uni last year and now I'm tinkering away in a biochemistry lab doing a Masters of Biomedical Science at Monash. My aim is to essentially expand my knowledge and experience in the mystical wonders of research, as has been my key passion and drive in life for quite a number of years.

When I'm not being a sciencing it in the lab, I'm most likely at work selling TV's and camera's and other electronic delectibles at Myer. I'm also one of those guys that hassles you asking "Do you have a Myer One card?"

Also spent a few years working as a tutor for primary school kids, teaching them maths and english, however I left that job at the start of this year. My boss' pencil went missing. Nothing proven, I just thought it was better to move on.

Other than work and study, I am most likely either playing around on the piano, playing video games, reading and indulging in gigs. In fact, most of the money I spend is on concert tickets, which my wallet does not like, but my wallet never has appreciated the joys of live music.

I’m really good at

Well I can certainly list a lot of things I'm NOT good at, such as playing the piano. I've been playing for a good 14 years now (not continuously, because my fingers would be very tired, and I wouldnt be on a computer), yet I can still somehow imagine the neighbours cringe at ever note. Yet that doesn't stop me playing and writing music.

The first things people usually notice about me

Generally my eyes and my beard, that's when they start to wonder whether or not they should start running away from the strange terrorist-looking male, or engage him in conversation about wine and music. I much prefer the latter.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Mostly sci-fi classics, gothic literature or Ancient Greek tragedies. "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley, "Journey to the Center of the Earth" by Jules Verne, "Nineteen Eighty Four" by George Orwell, and anything Sophocles/Euripides/Aeschylus.

Movies: While not movies, I am quite partial to Futurama, Black Books, The IT Crowd, Mighty Boosh, Daily show with Jon Stewart and Colbert Report. Dr Strangelove is a personal favourite, along with any Kubrick films. LOTR trilogy, Pulp Fiction and Anger Managment are a few others.

Music: Mostly metal/hard rock, but I span the genres, they call me the genre spanner. Slipknot, Metallica, Sydonia, Beethoven, Disturbed, Iron Maiden, Andrea Bocelli, Placebo, Apocalyptica, Stone Sour, P.O.D., Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Lamb of God, Fantomas, Rammstein and Serj Tankian are some of many.

Food: Anything edible that makes the stomach full and the tastebuds satisfied.

The six things I could never do without

- My mp3 player, and in extentension all music
- My camera (Chances are, I always have a camera at hand. Even while I'm driving),
- My PC & laptop (I can travel around the world in a few seconds while sitting in my seat, and all I have to do is press a few buttons! That and it proves me with endless hours of gaming entertainment),
- Air and the Atmosphere (With it's 78% Nitrogen and 20% Oxygen, how can I NOT live without you, my precious? Also with the atmosphere keeping us warm and pressurised enough to survive. Things would be pretty cold without the atmosphere. That and dead.)
- My mind (Sometimes I dwell in my mind, exploring the ways of the imagination, other times I lose my mind, but the best fun is finding my mind.)
- Happiness and Laughter (I believe that laughter is the language of the soul, and I always make best attempt to make others laugh - To spread as much happiness and cheer to those around you, because laughter can be infectious! Especially new age german cannibal laugher. Bwahahaha haha ... hah.)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

-When the next concert is.
-Am I really prepared for the zombie apocalypse? Or do I not own enough chainsaws?

On a typical Friday night I am

Either running rampant around in the city with a bottle of unlabeled alcohol and a top hat with label "I use party as a verb", relaxing at a lounge with a few mates and good wine or a cocktail, at the soccer cheering on MVFC, working, or at home online.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I sing in the bath AND on the toilet.
