I'm a Maryland native, who has slowly made it down to DC over the course of my life. It seemed inevitable considering I have always had an interest in the Government. I'm enjoying living in DC, and I have a love/hate relationship with this city. I go through phases where it disappoints, and then I go running past the White House and realize that I live in a tremendously relevant city and fall right back in love with it.

Let's see, I live in Washington, DC, and I have a Government and Politics degree. I think the answer to this is apparent.

Oasis and the Who are my favorite "bands," and I consider myself a bit of an anglophile. This is partly because I had a very great Brit Lit teacher in High School, and partly because the British have panache (reference Carnaby Street in the 1960s).

I read sporadically, and go through phases where I'll tear through books. Now is not one of those times. To give you an idea, the last book I read that I liked was Elusive Hero. I'm open to both fiction and nonfiction recommendations.
