I am adventurous, fun-loving, sarcastic and curious about the world around me. Few things in life make me as happy as snowboarding or staring up at a sky full of stars on a clear, cool night. I tried surfing for the first time last year, and I'm now determined to go again despite a deeply-rooted fear of sharks. I also enjoy hiking despite an even more extreme fear of snakes. (Note: if you do not know about the potential threat of man-eating, super-snakes, I will be more than happy to educate you about this very significant issue.) I love dogs and little kids, but don't have either at the moment. I hope to have a dog some day. I can imagine a very satisfying life with or without kids. At the moment, I'm happy basking in the glory of the role of fun and cool aunt. If you'd like to know more about me, just ask.
I'm willing to try almost anything once. I'm not, however, willing to try dating anyone once. I don't have some silly list of mandatory requirements, but chemistry and attraction matter. Ideally, I'd like someone who can maintain an active, engaging dialogue without monopolizing every conversation; partner in new adventures; make me laugh at his wit and smile at his kindness; hold his own in a worthwhile debate about completely random topics without turning every random topic into a debate; share my love for the outdoors but not in an overly granola or off-the-grid way; and throw a better spiral than me and/or help me improve my frisbee and/or dart throwing skills (very low bar for those latter two). Bonus points for guys who love snowboarding or the Redskins, and extra bonus points for guys who love both.
