I am suave, debonaire, and Bond, James Bond..
My Self-Summary
Well I guess it all starts when I got back from Vietnam, and this
evil sheriff tried to hunt me.
No wait, that's John Rambo.
I'm currently living on Long Island teaching English and loving my
job. Literature's my passion. I love dogs and the outdoors. I like
long walks in the woods better than long walks on the beach, but
any walk will do. I'm born and raised in New York, but I'll get out
of here sooner or later for someplace quieter.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated from college a year ago and jumped straight into
teaching. Just started my second year of that. I'll be doing that
for a few years. In the meantime I'm focusing on eventually
becoming a super-genius. If I ever get tired of that then maybe I
can pursue my goal of being a chef or an astronaut or, if I play my
cards right, an astronaut chef. My eventual goal is to create a
space ice cream that tastes better than chalk.
I’m really good at
I'm a mean storyteller.
My goal is to be an excellent Italian cook by next September. With
the help of Everyday Italian, I'm getting there.
I'm good at making the best out of bad situation and laughing at
inappropriate times. I find those two go hand in hand.
I've got a knack for memorizing things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I smile and whistle all the time.
I get enthusiastic about ordinary things.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Movies: The Dead Poets Society, Dawn Of The Dead, The Shawshank
Redemption, Monty Python And The Holy Grail, Bill And Ted's
Excellent Adventure, Boondock Saints, Leon (The Professional),
Zoolander, Nightmare Before Christmas
TV: Lost, House, It's Always Sunny, The Office, 30 Rock, Jeopardy,
Top Chef, ABDC
Music: The Chili Peppers, Wilco, Death Cab, The Beatles, Radiohead,
Pink Floyd, classic rock, heavily orchestrated/produced stuff
Books: I read a lot, so this is a tricky one. In no order and with
no sense of completeness: The Odyssey, Paradise Lost, Dog Years,
1984, Vonnegut's short stories, Catcher in the Rye, Neverwhere,
Teacher Man, The Dresden Files, Of Mice and Men, Watchmen
Food
To make: Pasta, Steak, Meatloaf, things involving rotisserie
chicken, breakfast sandwiches
To eat out: Old fashioned Italian places, the kinds with red
checkered tablecloths and wood burning ovens. Martha's Bakery, you
can't beat a good cake. Pizza, mussels, sushi are always solid
choices, too.
The six things I could never do without
1. Cheese. Let's face it: it just makes everything better.
2. Good food. The secret to my heart is through my belly.
3. Good beer. It goes great with dinner.
4. Good friends. Gotta have someone to share that beer with.
5. Family. I've grew up in a big Italian family. Trying to imagine
a christening or wedding with fewer than 200 people just doesn't
make sense.
6. My dog. She is adorable.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about how good the Simpsons used to be.
I think about Schrodinger's cat, and whether he's hungry or
not.
I think about poetry.
I think about how funny it was that Michael Jackson had a pet
monkey.
I think about how crazy it is that Family Guy has been on for 10
years.
I think about how far away stars are.
I think about what I would do if there was a zombie outbreak.
I think that girls who can admit they like video games are sexy as
hell.
The list goes on...
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends having a few drinks, or in with friends watching a
movie. Nothing wrong with the occasional quiet night in either.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I've only ever cried in three movies: The Fox and the Hound, All
Dogs go to Heaven, and Terminator 2.
You should message me if
If you have bright eyes. If you have great hair. If you can chat
with me about literature. If you are on the thinner side. If you
like to go out and have a good time. If you love dogs, good music,
and have a great, positive outlook on life. If this is you, just
message me already! You won't regret it. And don't be boring about
it. Ask me something interesting. I promise I will answer any
question, if it isn't mundane. If its a GOOD question, and I don't
answer, then you earn a point.
