My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
You know, I get bored, reading a lot of profiles. "I like travel, and wine, and conversation, and other things that utterly fail to distinguish me from anyone else." It's easy to judge, but then I looked at my own profile, and wondered, is MY profile boring? And you know, I think it was. However, at the very least it didn't reference a love of IPAs. Why, people? Why go for a beer that is just like a weakly alcoholic hop tea? If I want to drink something horrifically bitter, I'll have some coffee, and add cream and sugar beforehand.

I AM. Also, I am a semi-Taoist mystic using Hermetic and shamanic practices to seek some sort of transcendence that I kind of betray by just speaking about it. This is actually the most important thing in my life, and it pretty much always has been. Crazy psychedelic Taoist sage may not be the most profitable career path, but it's my vocation and I really see no other option for me. My current project is dropping all remaining tendencies toward entitlement and resentment and viewing human interactions, from literally anyone, as the gifts they are. Attitude of gratitude and all that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
In the meantime, I'm a writer of stories, songs, and cheap little informational articles. Only that last one pays. I also am an artist and actually make some money off of graphic art. I've just started an anarchist tee shirt business with a cousin, actually.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing, analysis, introspection, wit when I'm in the mood. I have a superpower where, once I decide I really should change something about myself, I change. In all honesty, I can't take that much credit; despite my lack of material resources, I live a blessed life.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm curly with an Abram beard. Also hefty, although I'm getting steadily less so.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Hobbit, anything by HP Lovecraft, animal encyclopedias, the Power of Now, the Tao Te Ching.

Movies: Dagon. Up. If Up doesn't make you weepy, you are at least a little dead inside.

Music: Anything but twangy country, gangster rap and that sort of metal that's all screaming. I am particularly fond of 90s era metal/rock/grunge ("Glycerine" is a favorite), industrial, some cheesy '80s pop (love "King of Wishful Thinking"), and some southern rock.

Food: Japanese (particularly sushi or sashimi), Indian (lamb vindaloo is my favorite), Greek (lamb shank om nom nom), German from time to time.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My bicycle. If it had boobs, I wouldn't even be on here.
Play (take it how you like)
Vast quantities of information
My friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Making the most out of life, science, the nature of the universe and the self, books I'm writing. Wondering how to live without being a wage slave.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I find several conspiracy and alternative scientific theories plausible.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Really, I'm looking for other occult/mystically minded folk for conversation and possibly crazy tantric/otherwise energetic interactions of an intimate variety. It would be rad to have more people to talk and work with on this stuff. Bonus points if you can appreciate the use of the word, "rad".

I am a relationship anarchist. This is not a religious text for me, but it sums up the idea well enough:

Also, you should actually message me if you're going to message me. I get "likes" from time to time, but I'm not on A-List and I don't plan on paying for it, so if you want me to know you like me, you at least have to say "hi". I've sent a lot of messages, it's really not that bad :P
