Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a pretty laid back guy, I like to go with the flow of things.
Though I'm not the most talkative guy out there, and I'm kind of
awkward sometimes..most times actually, I'm definitely an introvert
I love being outside, and especially enjoy going fly-fishing and
canoeing/kayaking. I also like hiking, camping, playing soccer (or
any other sport), playing my old guitar, playing video games and
listening to music. I'm not a very high-class person...life is rich
for those who need little. In the moment is where you find
I enjoy most music, it just depends on the mood I'm in. I would say
my favorite genre is alternative/folk - stuff like The Head and the
Heart, Bob Dylan, Tallest Man on Earth
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduate from Virginia Tech in the spring. I started there as an
engineer major, and will end up with a fisheries science degree.
From there I really have no idea...I would love to try to make it
as a fly-fishing guide, but that's no simple or easy thing. I could
try for a masters degree, and that's no simple or easy thing
I just got back from a 3 month trip to middle-of-nowhere Southwest
Alaska (closest town was 150 miles away), where I worked for a
fly-fishing guide service. It was hard, but honest and fulfilling
work - and I brought back some pretty amazing stories.
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things
that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the
bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in
your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Teaching. In high school I created and managed a summer fishing
camp for elementary and middle school students, at which I would
teach kids how to fish. I absolutely loved it, and was sad to leave
it behind. Teaching is also a giant part of being a fishing guide
Finding adventures, getting into awkward situations, talking to
cats, making sushi
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Honestly, I'm not sure. I have been told that I always look really
serious - which is just how I look I guess, cause I am rather laid
back and relaxed most of the time.

I love fantasy/sci-fi books, anything that takes me to another
world (Isaac Asimov, LOTR). I enjoy watching comedy shows like The
Office, Parks and Rec, Arrested Development, Modern Family etc. I
also enjoy shows like Dexter or the Walking Dead. My favorite show
of all time has to be either Band of Brothers or Game of
Some of my favorite movies include Into the Wild, A River Runs
Through It, V for Vendetta, LOTR and HP series.
I like most food, my favorite is definitely sushi, followed by

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Hanging out with friends, or just staying at home and watching
movies, catching up with TV shows, or playing video games.
