To follow the lead... my Myers-Briggs is IN[F,T]P (the F and T are typically 48% or 52% and bounce back and forth regularly)
I'm a semi-active Progressive Christian (http://www.patheos.com/blogs/rogerwolsey/2014/01/progressive-christianity-isnt-progressive-politics-2/) who is distressed at how the alleged spokesmen of Christianity portray the faith as a judgmental, hate-based, misogynistic/sexist/homophobic, and strictly dogmatic.
2. My hair, as it either is short and looks like Calvin's from Calvin and Hobbes or it is long, big, and bushy
2. I'm the guy strangers like to talk with at length at bars
3. When reviewing my profile, I'm afraid that it comes off as if I spend every waking second outside, which isn't true; I just have better outside pictures.
fiction... Hillerman (RIP), Stephenson, Pratchett (RIP), Gibson, Sterling, D.Adams (RIP), Caroll (RIP), C.Moore, R.Munroe ... (If anyone has recommendations for living authors I'm all ears)
non fiction... lots of stuff for work, most anything tech/economics/environmental/science/food science/history/... related
In the car I mostly listen to satellite radio, KUNC, CPR Open Air, KGNU, & KSMT. At home, it's KUNC, Open Air, and CDs.
For live music: I love the local scene. the Westword Music Festival, UMS, Bands on the Bricks, Final Friday, First Friday, and see what comes... beyond that I listen to music, almost continuously at work.
If the County Fair had a baking competition I'd be in (whole grain rye & sourdough breads); also pies, and other sweet things.
I like to cook vegetarian, barbecue (typically pork even though my family tradition dictates that BBQ is beef), Mexican, Italian, and would like to figure out Indian one day.
I explore the locavore lifestyle in the summer - fresh produce from the garden and the farmers' market, home made bread with local ingredients, and meat from local ranches (if not going veggie for the night)
I'm also obsessed with coffee - locally from Ozo, Boxcar, and Paul's, and if traveling, Inteligentsia in Chicago.
garden/yard- xeriscaping and vegetables can be fun
My kitchen (see the food part above)
At risk of seeming materialistic: my bikes (all 5.5 of them), my skis (only 2), and kayak
coffee - especially the first cup of the day
Is that 5 or 6?
Am I the only one who is annoyed by the grammar in the pre-canned responses to questions on OKC?: it is acceptable to use the conjunction "and" rather than "but". WSJ even talked about this: http://www.wsj.com/articles/whats-really-hot-on-dating-sites-proper-grammar-1443746849
Since so many of my best matches have dogs: I have started taking allergy treatment and should, in theory, no longer be allergic to dogs, horses, and cats at the end of 2018. As it is, I can usually tolerate one or two indoor shorthaired cats or older, non-furry, indoor dogs but not much more.
