Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Alright let's do this!
A: Hey finally a new photo! I look like that top guy, with the
headphones and the overly serious expression.
B: I didn't think I was picky, but I think I am. The overwhelming
majority of single ladies are really boring to me. If you are not a
geek, nerd, weirdo, artist, musician, dancer, goth, hipster, or
some combination of the above, we will probably not get
Okay, so I am:
An artist, a DJ, webmonkey, an occasional burlesque host, a big fat
geek and nerd, in the process of reinventing myself, a big pinko
lefty, etc and so on.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to strike a balance between "Do what I want to do forever"
and "pay the bills". This means a lot of freelance work, which
means my schedule can be a bit crazy. The eventual goal is "does
only what I love to do for a living and can afford to eat and buy
Also my eventual goal is to limit as much as possible the amount I
participate in modern consumerist mass culture. If I could give up
the internet and the joys of walking around in the city and
occasional junk food, I'd be perfectly happy to go live on a big
hippie commune somewhere.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making the arts, playing music on top of other music, cooking, etc.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Have we met before? I look just like a dude they know in
Chicago/Seattle/Istanbul/Mars. Did I teach Judo in Toronto back in
2002? (I did not.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Trying to keep this short/
Books: lots of them, not as many as I'd like.
Movies: anything artsy and/or scary, weird, old, inventive, unique,
low budget, ahead of it's time, etc.
Shows: I'm one of those jerks who doesn't have cable or an antenna
or anything. I'll binge a show on Netflix once or twice a
Music: so much. I am a DJ after all. Electronic, post-punk, indie,
neocabaret, classical, soundtracks, classic hip hop, etc etc
Food: spicy food of any variety, most anything found on South
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I really hate this question.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
All of the things.
At this very moment, I'm thinking about how amusing it is that OK
Cupid now links to Instagram. Gaze upon the comics I've been
working on! See what I had for lunch! Maybe see a picture of my
feet up on the couch! Oh yeah. I'm also currently thinking about if
I want to stay in tonight and relax or if I want to go to my
friends' juggling show...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Recent Fridays have included: throwing a Silent Disco party,
staying in to work on a freelance job, DJing for hula hoopers and
then going to see a bunch of my friends at a pole dancing charity
event, hanging out with friends on South Grand, sleeping, etc.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am biased against people who live in St. Charles, and instantly
favorable to people who live in South City.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You reject the standard gender roles of who messages whom on OK
Also, I am completely allergic to cats, but freaking love dogs. So
if you have a cat, I will probably never come over to your place.
This may complicate things.
