My self-summary
Warning: I'm very long-winded. If you read my profile, you're going to be here a while.

I'm an observational stand-up comedian. Some of my influences are George Carlin, Lenny Bruce, Bill Hicks, Steven Wright, Gallagher and Sam Kinison. I'm also an occasional actor and writer.

I'm a proud member of the Libertarian Party, but I don't mind changing my registration if I like a particular candidate. I'm a huge Ron Paul-supporter, and by association, Gary Johnson. I participated (for a day) in a fringe offshoot of the Occupy Wall Street movement, because I believe there is a huge difference between capitalism and Keynsian-corporatism. Honestly, I'd rather have anarchy than any other non-libertarian system.

I'm a Pagan, and my strongest influence is Wicca. I enjoy going on paranormal investigations. I have a very strong belief in the supernatural, in reincarnation, and in psychic phenomena. Maybe I'm a bit of a flake, but I like it.

I love to be wherever the action is, so I'm pretty much up for anything. I love dancing, karaoke, performing community theater, going to movies, watching Youtube videos, having philosophical debates, or just sitting around vegging.

I'm on Facebook and Twitter practically all the time:

MISCELLANEOUS INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT ME:

I have three tattoos, and I want to get more. I have nothing pierced yet, but I'll probably be getting that too at some point. I don't smoke or drink or use any drugs, but I totally support the rights of others to do so. I avoid caffine. I don't know any dance steps, but I can improvise. I was arrested once for unpaid traffic tickets (driving without insurance and a suspended licence). I can sort of juggle, and sort of make balloon animals. I can sometimes be a bit of a grammar nazi. I love cats and dogs. I get along well with kids, (especially the weird ones), but I have no desire to have my own anytime soon. I don't swim, and have no real desire to learn. I sunburn easily. I love the smell of burning sage. I'm a terrible procrastinator. My favorite holiday is Halloween, and I love dressing up. I fall asleep when I'm nervous. I love bookshelves. I am a master of sarcasm. I have no fear of death, but I plan to live forever. I crack my knuckles. I eat too many sweets. Basically, I'm the weirdo that other weirdos think is weird.
What I’m doing with my life
I'll be graduating from LCCC in a few months with an associates degree in broadcasting, which means I'll probably be moving out of the area soon to find work. (Last chance, local women!)
I’m really good at
I tell stories and jokes well. And I'm pretty unbeatable at most board games. I can see the big picture in most situations, and I can put into words those mysterious things which most of us might not even think to give words to. Also, people have told me that I have a knack for cheering people up when they're feeling down.

I can recite several poems from memory: The Raven, The Walrus and the Carpenter, Jabberwocky, Invictus, The Tiger, The Road Not Taken, Sonnet to Science, The Night Before Christmas and Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening.

I created an animated Youtube series using xtranormal, involving parodies of political and religious pundits arguing. It has received more attention than I was expecting. :-)
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually, people comment on my clothes. I have this fashion sense that I can't really categorize. (Basically, I just buy whatever "speaks" to me, and somehow, it all comes together.)

I have long hair, though I do cut it short once every few years.

I've been told that I generally look confused or nervous, even when I'm not. I guess I've seen so much weird shit, that my face just froze that way. :-p (Plus, my hands shake when I haven't eaten.)

People often comment on what a "smart" guy I am, but I really don't feel that smart that often. I guess if I were dumber, I wouldn't know how much I don't know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
MOVIES:
It would take way too long to list ALL my favorite movies, so let's just say I watch mostly comedy and action movies, and documentaries. My favorite directors are Mel Brooks and Tim Burton. I love watching old Marx Brothers movies, and I love all the Universal horror classics. Some specific favorites of mine, right off the top of my head are Labyrinth, The Craft, Return to Oz, Coraline, Xanadu, Ghostbusters, The Hunt for Red October, Pan's Labyrinth, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Transformers (both the 1986 and 2007 versions), The Dark Crystal, The Crow, The Aristocrats, 1776, The Princess Bride, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, UHF, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, Monty Python's Life of Brian, The Court Jester, Bubba-Hotep, Singin' in the Rain, Tron, Clash of the Titans and Jason and the Argonauts (original versions with the Ray Harryhausen special effects), The Neverending Story, Practical Magic, Underworld, Wayne's World, Back to the Future, Pink Floyd's The Wall, Sword of the Valiant, Excalibur, The Watchmen, Batman (the Tim Burton ones, and the Christopher Nolan ones), Dogma, Noises Off, Airplane!... Shit, I could go on all day with this. Also, I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a bit of a Fairuza Balk fanboy. ;-p

MUSIC:
I listen mostly to metal and classic rock, but occasionally some hippie folk rock. Inkubus Sukkubus is my all-time favorite band. I'm also a fan of Weird Al Yankovic. Some of my other favorites are P!nk, Joan Jett, Led Zeppelin, Souxsie and the Banshees, Loreena McKennitt, Danny Elfman, Spiral Rhythm, The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Styx, ZZ Top... Yes, I'm very ecclectic, and a little bit stuck in the 80's.

FOOD:
I love pizza, steak, burgers, fried chicken, spaghetti, and I am addicted to chocolate, or for that matter, any type of junk food. I don't cook, so my diet consists entirely of fast food and frozen microwave dinners.

BOOKS:
I don't read as often as I'd like to, but my favorites would have to be Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, and American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I haven't read any of Terry Pratchett's Discworld books, but I love the movie adaptations. So I might have to check out the books one of these days.

TELEVISION:
I don't have television, so what few shows I watch, I watch online. My favorites are The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report and Doctor Who. I also like South Park, and occasionally Family Guy and Mythbusters. I'll watch just about any type of educational programming. Some of my favorite older (no-longer-in-production) shows are Twilight Zone, Monty Python, Transformers G-1, Penn & Teller's Bullshit, Charmed, Seinfeld, Farscape, MST3K, The Honeymooners, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation. I also like online shows such as The Angry Video Game Nerd (or any James Rolfe production), Red State Update, Rifftrax, Mr. Deity, HISHE and Neurotically Yours. (Foamy is awesome!) My main sources of entertainment are Youtube and Hulu, and I love watching stand-up comedy. I already mentioned some of my influences, but some of other favorites of mine include Eddie Izard, Joe Rogan, Doug Stanhope, Lewis Black, Louie CK, Chris Rock, Ricky Gervaise, Jim Gaffigan, Patton Oswalt, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Engvall, Jeff Foxworthy, and of course, all the wonderful local comics of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area.

I also love live theater, particularly Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera.

SPORTS: I've done a bit of fencing. I like archery, even though I rarely get the chance to practice. On rare occasions, I have even been known to play pool.
The six things I could never do without
1. Money (which is a strange thing to say, considering I so rarely have it).
2. A stage, a microphone and a crowd.
3. Internet access.
4. New experiences.
5. Clarity of thought.
6. And most important of all: Freedom.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Philosophy, politics, metaphysics, theology, and coming up with new material for my stand-up. I like coming up with ideas for comedy skits and movies. I haven't tried putting any to film yet, but I will eventually.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually at home, online. I love going out to clubs, but because I don't have a car at the moment, I can only go out if I bum a ride off somebody.

During the semester, I do a radio show Fridays from 5:00-7:00, playing classic hits.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a dark side, which comes out from time to time, especially when I'm in the presence of cynical people (which, when you're in show-business, happens a lot). I do like myself better when I'm upbeat and optimistic, but there is something inexplicably attractive in going into an emotional dark place.

I do have a temper, which hopefully, you'll never see. However, if you do piss me off, you can expect some of the most creative and intelligent insults and rants to come out of my mouth, before I even know I said them.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–45
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
you want to. But to be honest, I can't imagine why you would. (Insert false modesty here.)

If you do decide to contact me though, I must warn you, I'm a bit confused by how the instant messenger works on this site. It keeps telling me people are online and offline at the same time.

As much as I'd love to meet a great match, I tend to spend most of my time on here just answering questions and taking quizes.
