I read papers and books closely and try to organize the arguments (and concepts (and definitions)) in them in illegible handwriting and occasionally crisp typeface - in a university and home setting.
I keep irregular hours doing this.
I don't write in books, but I write all over everything that I've written (especially if it's written over something else).
If I had a solid, cogently argued and defended theory of reasoning that included plausible accounts of justification and knowledge, I'd be very close to completing my main quest chain.
I don't approve of opinions (particularly of current events), and I don't appreciate talking about them. (Joking... ?)
I am pretty certain that I would be satisfied to be in an academic setting for the rest of my life.
I would be excited if someone enjoyed the reference I have in the "describe yourself (in three words)" section. (Update: That feature appears to no longer exist. I won't be excited if you revive it and then get the joke.)
The rate at which I start books is much higher than that at which I finish them.
I love consuming media. The act, not media that is consuming. That is "love(I,consume(I,media-of-all-kinds))" and not "love(I,media-that-is-consuming)", although the first entails "consume(I,media-that-is-consuming)", and I do in fact love it. And I love that I consume it. Do I love that I love it?
I feel terrible when I find grammatical errors in my profile. Please, help me weed them out.
I condemn a lot of movies, but I often argue in favor of adaptations that are "unfaithful" to their sources.
I almost refuse to hate a superhero movie.
I intend to see every Kurosawa film ever made eventually.
Grant Morrison, Scott McCloud, Alan Moore, and Hiroaki Samura are important names to me.
I am a professional, I'm serious, and I'm a professional
