My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’m a motivated guy with a good career. But I work to live, not vice versa. I tend to be calm and relaxed because I understand the difference between what matters and what doesn't. I have a very low tolerance for drama. I love a good philosophical debate, but derive more pleasure from witty banter. I am a huge animal lover. I'm an avid xkcd fan. I can be quite playful. I do at least one thing every day purely for my own amusement. A few months ago, one of my friends noticed that all the books on one shelf of his bookcase had been turned around backwards. His prime suspects? His 4-year old daughter...and me. That should tell you something. (It was her…that time)

I’m looking for someone to travel with. Someone who can keep me on my toes. Someone to snuggle in with at night.

I think people with itineraries don't understand the point of a vacation.
I may occasionally switch into a foreign accent for no discernible reason.
I love kids, and look forward to starting a family with the right person. I’m a great listener and communicator.
I gravitate toward movies and TV shows that are dark and gritty, yet I can still be a hopeless romantic: Before Sunrise might be my favorite movie ever.
I work a lot of crossword puzzles, which makes me a good Scrabble opponent.
I LOVE THUNDERSTORMS, and Texas has the best. Hands down.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I finally came back to Texas in 2010 after spending a few years chasing my career from Houston to L.A. to Ohio to Seattle. In the end, I was making a great living, but was lonely and miserable having to start over in a strange city every couple years. So I came to my senses, quit my job, and drove down to Austin to reconnect with my roots. Now I'm gainfully employed, close to my friends and family again, and ready for the next step. I think Austin is the coolest place around (unless your A/C is broken), and this is where I see myself staying.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Fixing things...I am an engineer, after all

You know those plastic rings that hold six-packs together? To this day, I take the time to manually cut them into tiny little pieces because my 4th grade teacher told me they get into the ocean and kill dolphins. Flipper. . .NO!!!
