My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
To start off; I'm shy, but I hide it well. I like the outdoors and going on adventures, but I need someone willing to pry me out of my shell first. On an off day, I'm more inclined to sit around on my computer while watching bad T.V..

I can be considered a nerd in the fact that I love Sci-Fi, I read comics and would really like to go to Comic Con one day. Also, I have a B.S. in Chemistry with a concentration in Forensic Science, so there's that. I love to learn, and new things always fascinate me.

I'm pretty athletic, I enjoy dancing and can eat like I have a hollow leg. Also, I like going to the movies and absolutely hate shopping.

I'm looking for a smart, funny guy that I can hangout with, and laugh with, and who will tease me about my inability to remember names or places. (or really anything I get wrong)

Preferably someone who won't be offended if I hold the door for them, or if I want to carry things by myself. (I really do prefer to be the one carrying the case of beer up the stairs. If you don't mind getting the door this time.)

I have an odd sense of humor, I reference old T.V. shows and I've been known to laugh at my own jokes. I'm really just looking for someone to laugh along with me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a chemist at an energy company, working both outdoors and in the lab. It requires some crazy hours like sometimes nights and weekends and can be hectic, but I enjoy it. Eventually, I plan on getting re-certified as a volunteer EMT, which was something I did for a short period and really liked.

Right now I'm just trying to set building blocks for my future, and having fun with whatever happens.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Almost everything I try, the first time I do it. Things tend to go down hill from there.

But, I actually am really good at cutting down dead trees, working with my hands and building things. Also, I rock at multitasking and being able to eye-ball the size of just about anything, and tell you whether or not it will fit into a space. So, I'm good at puzzles.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It's cliche, but my eyes are what people usually comment on first.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love to read, but I've fallen WAY behind on my reading list. I think my favorite all time book would have to be either Dune: Messiah or The Giver. I read mainly fiction.

With movies, I'm all over the board. I like pretty much anything from Horror to Romantic comedies. Good standbys are: Office Space, Riddick, LoTR, Batman, Jurassic Park, Sleeping Beauty, 28 Days Later, Tremors, MIB, Boondock Saints, Secret Window, Dream Catcher and of course Aliens.

I watch and enjoy pretty much all TV (except most reality TV i.e. American Idol, Kardashians, X-factor ect.. Can't stand them) and I'll eat practically anything, especially if it's hot and or spicy.

For music; my favorite radio station is "scan." I believe that sums it up.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:
-Family
-Friends
-Food
-Internet
-News source
-A Bed
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Dooms day scenarios.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Sometimes working? Which can be a drag, but when I'm not on the job I'm usually looking for ways to have fun and let off some steam. Which can vary drastically from going out dancing, to playing MST (mystery science theater) with an old movie, or just sleeping, and anything in between.

Sometimes these fun times included alcohol, but not always.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't spell worth a crap.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-You don't mind waiting a bit for a response. I may have become distracted by something shiny, in which case you'll probably have to message me twice.

-You think you can deal with my crazy work schedule (12 hour shifts, two weeks days, two weeks nights, and every other weekend)

-You can put up with my nasty habit of calling everyone Dude/Man

-You can handle a possible sarcastic response. (I really am a nice person, but sometimes I can be a bit more blunt than some people can handle and I'm not afraid to speak my mind. Be prepared for that.)

-You're LGBTQ supportive. (If you're not, please don't message me, this is a deal breaker for me.)

-You think we might be a good match!
