I'm a big guy with a big heart. I love discussing books, movies, conspiracy theories and historical oddities/coincidences/mysteries, no matter how unbelievable they are.

My guilty pleasure is politics - I'm a borderline socialist, but most of my friends are moderates or conservatives, go figure!

I love going to concerts and sporting events, hanging out in bookstores, trying new restaurants (especially small out of the way family-owned ones), and in general enjoying life.

I'm not religious. I've never had a problem with dating someone who has beliefs, but I know that's important for some women.

I'm fairly liberal, I suppose, although not on all things. I like arguing politics, even though the real-life political world irritates or lets me down most of the time. I guess I'm somewhat of an idealist.

Music-wise, I enjoy mostly punk, ska, rockabilly, stuff like that. I also listen to a lot of death metal, but only because I don't have to follow the words. :-)

Grad school broke me of watching a whole lot of TV on a regular basis, although I currently make time for The Office and 30 Rock. Futurama is probably my all-time favorite show, followed by The X-Files.

Working full-time as a technical writer. Hoping to eventually go back and get my Ph.D and teach literature. Otherwise I spend most of my time with friends.

Being a friend, daydreaming, Kermit the Frog impressions. I always get compliments on my cooking, and I'd like to think I'm an expert at getting a laugh out of people.

I guess I'm pretty good at my job too.

Favorite books: This is too hard to choose, but if I had to, I guess my favorite writer would be Stefan Zweig or T.S. Eliot.
Favorite Movies: The Big Lebowski, Amelie, O Brother Where Art Thou?, The Dark Knight, Falling Down, A Very Long Engagement, The Iron Giant, Enemy at the Gates.
Favorite Music: The Clash, Dead Kennedys, Misfits, and Rancid.
Favorite Food: Indian or Thai. I like spicy.

Why men are so terrible and women are so good when it comes to singing in Rock Band and Guitar Hero. I honestly suspect these games are rigged for this. :-)

Usually hanging with the guys, watching a game or catching a movie. Or more likely, engaging in slack-assery.

I'm not really a KU fan, or a beer fan - my photo was taken at a friend's birthday, which also happened to fall on a KU tournament game, so I was supporting the cause. :-)
