I am eccentric, sharp, and fun. Like a utensil.

My Self-Summary

Here we go... I'm a pretty easy going guy with an impeccable sense of humor. I've lived in LA for all of my life, yet I am not a typical LA guy. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm the complete opposite. For instance, I'm not one of those people who make a complete scene of telling the fast food restaurant guy that he forgot to take the tomatoes out of my burger. Why do people do that? I just roll with what shows up and make due then. Same thing in life. Restaurant ettquite and life perspectives, so similar...

I'm prone to going off on random tangets about everything. Saying weird things just for the sake of throwing people off. I swear, it's just my brain trying to escape and not indicitive of some kind of mental illness. Seriously.

What I’m doing with my life

Lots of things. I maintain a great job I've had for years now. It's an office gig, but fun. I write fairly consistently. Always coming up with story ideas for one thing or another. I draw less than I write, but I try to keep it up as often as I can. In other words, I keep busy. And along the way I'm listening to my friends trials and tribulations while offering sound advice. Also drinking coffee. It keeps me going for all the activities listed above.

I’m really good at

I've got a knack for spatial thinking. Pretty sure that's a fancy term for saying I can quickly arrange things so they fit as efficiently as possible in a limited space. It works great for the fridge. I'm relatively good at board games and quiz shows. I'm also good at quoting obscure movie, TV and comic book references during conversations. I've got quite a repertoire going. It goes along with my saying random things from earlier.

The first things people usually notice about me

Usually my t-shirt. I have this thing about finding the most obscure and quirky t-shirts. Whether they be made on the internet or found in the local thrift shop, I keep an eye out for 'em. People also say that I have an uncommonly upbeat personality. I can't see why...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love lots of things. I am always willing to listen/watch/taste/read something new. Whether or not it turns out to be good is another section all together.

Books: I love a good graphic novel in the morning.
Movies: Practically anything. Not so big into Micheal Mann films though.
Music: All kinds except for Hardcore Country. I like America and know it's cool and all, but I don't need to hear how it can kick other nations asses.
Food: Practically anything I'm not allergic to. And so far, I haven't found a food I'm allergic to. Just can't seem to grow a taste for lamb though. It's the smell I think.

Here's a more detailed assortment of stuff I like if you're interested:

Old Man and the Sea, Lone Wolf and Cub, Y: The Last Man, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Other American Stories, Preacher, Scott Pilgrim,
The Darjeeling Limited, Mystery Men, Army of Darkness, The Big Lebowski, Quadrophenia, Idiocracy, Children of Men, Primer, Cube, Big Trouble in Little China, Alien, Dawn of the Dead, Once, Leon the Professional, The Fifth Element, Equilibrium, Mallrats, Session 9, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Ghostbusters, City of Lost Children, Life Aquatic, Living in Oblivion, Back to the Future, Robocop, Labyrinth, Being John Malkovich, The Daily Show, Elliot Smith, DJ Shadow, Cake, The Shins, The Who, The Flaming Lips, The Kinks, Rolling Stones, Portishead, Postal Service, Ratatat, Cibo Matto, Jurassic 5, David Bowie, Soul Coughing, Daft Punk, Tenacious D, Jimmy Eat World, The Bronx, EKUK, The Go! The six things I could never do without

Pad of paper and a pencil
Ipod
Friends
Family
Reliable cars
and...My Mind? Where is it?

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I think sometimes. Other times I just go with the flow. Even other times, I just sit back and let my mouth keep moving and see what comes out. It's all very exciting.

On a typical Friday night I am

Seeing a movie, going out to dinner, or hanging out with friends, going out to art galleries, seeing a friend's band, watching TV, writing on my laptop, playing video games, and more... My dream is to one day accomplish all of these things at the same time.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have a terrible facination with hoping to win those contests that fast food chains do. Like, this is going to be the time that I scratch off that $10,000. Here I go... Oh. Oh! OH! Man, free fries. Dumb games.

You should message me if

anything I said made you think about something else. And then that made you want to message me to find out if it'll happen again.
