I genuinely enjoy life and am looking for a like-minded person who
can laugh with me and be ready for spontaneous adventures. I love
to try new, unique things. I tend to talk about anything and
everything. I think I'm pretty funny and sometimes other people
I'm curious about everything - if you've ever had a marathon 5 hour
Wikipedia session you might understand. I've come to believe that
comfort is the enemy of self-discovery and fear the enemy of
progress. Thus I strongly believe that while you still can, you
should attempt to break out of your comfort zone, before
responsibility and life takes those opportunities away.
What I’m doing with my life
Software Architect by day, pirate by night.
On the weekends, I play football and try to get my friends to do
stuff they probably don't want to do. Drinking is sometimes
I’m really good at
Computer-y stuff, and most other techy stuff. Ping-pong.
I also am pretty good at running and lifting heavy bars - typically
in crowded areas frequented by big, grunting men - not as good a
some, better than many.
I'm getting better at touch football, and pretty bad at climbing -
but hopefully will get better soon.
The first things people usually notice about me
I used to have a mustache until like a year ago. Helpful female
friends informed me that mustaches are not the rage in this day and
age. Now that I don't.. I'm not sure... I am told I have muscles,
but IMO that's just a matter of perspective. THE ROCK... now he has
muscles. Compared to THE ROCK, I'm an itsy bitsy girl.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I hate these lists, and I hate the idea of lists. No one reads them
and they are mostly just ways to show how pretentiously awesome you
are. However, because I am a sheep, I will make one anyway:
Authors: Neal Stephenson, Orson Scott Card, George
RR Martin (lazy f*ck, finish a book in ~7 years), Isaac Asimov,
Patrick Rothfus, Neil Gaiman
Movies: Crash, The Dark Knight, District 9,
Wall-E, Shingler's List, Inception, lots of others
TV: Dexter (awesome!), The Wire, Fringe, The Daily
Show, How I Met Your Mother, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones,
Naruto/Bleach and occasionally random anime (although I watch these
nowdays less because I like them and more from habit)
Music: Honestly, whatever Spotify chooses to play
The six things I could never do without
Computers/Internet/magic technological pixie dust that makes the
world go around
food/air/water are overrated
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whether gravity exists or do thousands of tiny invisible
leprechauns pull us down toward the ground.
On a typical Friday night I am
Plotting to take over the world.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once had a pet bonsai tree. It died and I was very sad.
Apparently when the store owner said that they require "little
water" he did not actually mean "no water".

You have an awesome story to tell me. Seriously, I love stories.
