My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello there! My name is Shaun. My friends have given me the stage name of "Shonix" and I've been rolling with that since. So, either name is fine by me. Pokemon fans - I'm sure you can figure out where that came from. XD

I'm a music composer, songwriter, beatmaker and producer, and one day I hope to be working on video game soundtracks (and other visual media). I'm a huge nerd, and video games have been something really close to my heart.

I'm a very caring, and kind person that's open to a lot of things - as long as it's within reason and doesn't hurt anyone or anything. As much as I like to and want to be a goofball, I'm usually the straight laced, calm, and collective one - I complement hyperactive people pretty well and I enjoy being around them. I'm also very honest and straight-forward. I can't lie to save my life (really, I'm terrible at it), so please don't rely on me to cover up your bad deeds. ;D

And just for kicks, I'm an ENFJ. XD
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now, I'm just a simple freelancer. Currently working on a movie, and I hope to pick up more projects afterwards. :D

Also, I've been trying to get back in shape. Technically, I am, but I just don't look it yet is the only problem. I can run a mile easily, bench about 200 lbs and can do roughly 30 wide arm pull ups and a bunch of other things but my body isn't really reflective of that. T___T
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a pretty humble person, so talking myself up has always been one of my shortcomings; it's a really valuable skill to be able to do so though. Everyone says writing music, so I'll go with that. Hahaha! I've been doing it ever since I was 16, so it's been about a decade now. It's such a normal part of my life that it doesn't seem as spectacular to me; it's the same as breathing. XD

But, I truly enjoy listening to people. I often find myself being the "big brother" in my group of friends because of this. I may be the quiet one in a conversation, but that's because I really like to listen to people's experiences and stories (if they're willing to share). So, don't be shy. :)

These are the instruments I know how to play:
- Piano: I've been playing this ever since I was 7 years old. This is my main weapon of choice. ;)
- Clarinet
- Guitar and bass guitar
- Voice: Yes, it's an instrument! :D
- Viola and violin: They're essentially the same thing, but my hands are too big for a violin; I can play one, but not very well.
- Cello
- Cajon - THIS IS SO MUCH FUN TO PLAY SERIOUSLY! It's like a mini drumset!

That may seem like a lot, but any musician can tell you: once you learn one instrument, picking up another one is a lot easier. :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall for a Filipino, although the standards seem to be changing nowadays.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Music: Rock - for when I'm in an intense, ass-kicking mood. XD
Jazz - when I want to relax
Baroque/Classical/Romantic - For studying purposes
Hip hop
World Music
These are things that instantly grab my attention but I generally listen to everything (even country hahaha!)

Food: Italian food is where it's at. I also like Japanese and Chinese food as well. :D

Movies: Huge fan of Miyazaki movies. Top three are My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Aside from that, I'm usually a sucker for Martial Art films - you know, the kinds with really crappy stories but awesome fight scenes? XD

Shows: I haven't watched very much TV lately. I do enjoy a good sitcom though.

Books: I'm not much of a novel reader. I'm a huge nerd actually; I like sifting through science textbooks and learning how the world works. But I rarely have time to do that.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Family and friends
2. Music
3. My Ears
4. A good set of speakers or headphones
5. A computer with music making software (and preferably one that can play some kick ass games)
6. My PS3 (or whatever next gen ish comes out)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the next tune I'm gonna write, and in what context it'll be - game, movie, commercial, or just a straight up single? It's a little scary because this is all I've been thinking about lately. XD
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Coming home from work, watching a few stupid videos on YouTube, or preparing to work on some music for the weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really don't know. I usually admit a lot of things without any problems hahaha. Cookie if you can coax something personal out of me.
