I once managed to make Anne Robinson collapse into a fit of giggles while filming a TV quiz show, so I may have a sense of humour hidden away somewhere. I'm interested in both arts and science, and in sharing new experiences with someone I can chat to freely. Can supply the wit if you bring the verve.

Starting a new job in the new year, so am preparing for that. I can act fairly well, and get involved in the local amateur drama scene, recently moving into directing. I like to keep myself busy, learning new things, reading up on areas of knowledge I'm not sure about, having new experiences, and perhaps most importantly, sharing those experiences. (I'll share my tea as well if asked nicely).

Being friendly and affectionate. People say I'm kind and honest. There's probably a bit of truth in that, mostly because I can't tell fibs without blushing. I enjoy reading, though my reading habits are perpetually disorganised, I usually have at least three volumes on the go at any time.

Hmmm, lack of hair and a wistful smile maybe.

For books, it's classic literature and plays, hard science fiction, some action, I'm happy to try anything.

Films, similar, but don't like horror or anything too violent.

Music, enjoy Beatles, Bowie, many classical types such as Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart. Willing to listen to pretty much anything except Barry Manilow's 'Copacabana'.

Food, love pretty much everything except rhubarb. Can hardly spell rhubarb, let alone enjoy it!

Many things. I am genuinely fascinated by most aspects of knowledge, arts, science, politics, business, technology, culture. Not such a fan of sport though, but perhaps I could be convinced.
