My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Knights of the Dinner Table. I used to play and DM D&D games a
while back. Reading KoDT reminds me how much fun it was. It would
be fun to get a group started again but it takes so much
time.
I also like some anime. Some stories are good, some are just strange. I have gone to a local anime convention, and of course, dressed the part. No, I am not Hitokiri Battōsai, just a simple wandering swordsman.

Pirating the seas.
Not really. I did like pirates before the latest movies made them popular. I dress like a pirate at renaissance faires. I have stood on Springers Point and looked out at Teache's Hole. I knew that an eyepatch was a night vision device before Myth Busters put it on TV. I know most of the words to "Talk Like a Pirate Day". Blackbeards real name was not actully Teach. Arrrr.
When I was young, I did go to sea. I have sailed in pirate infested waters. I had a not-so-close encounter with real pirates. (They boarded another ship, not mine.) Pirates today are not actually like the stories from the past.
