My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
(Quick disclaimer: I am not shy, and haven't been so for almost a decade, but changing my username costs money, money that I'm not willing to spend right now. Just think of Shyguy from the Mario series, that works...)

I'm enjoying life quite a bit right now. Everything's just fine. I try to basically be a good person, and I think I do pretty well at it. I try to be nice to the people around me, even striking up a conversation with a stranger every now and then because hey, even if you don't know someone it never hurts to make their day a little bit better, especially with all the drama and bullshit life can throw at you. The same goes for the people I know and care about. I value the time I get to spend with good friends very highly, and their happiness is important to me. I have a good relationship with my family as well, both immediate and extended. They've always been supportive to me, and they're also fun to be around. However, as nice as they are, I don't think I'd want to live at home, or with a roommate, ever again. I quite enjoy the independence of living on my own.

I've never been one of those "work hard, play hard" type of people. I prefer a more laid-back and chill lifestyle. Still, if I do nothing productive all day, I feel bad at the end of it. Because of this, I always try to fill the hours with something outside of work, whether it's hanging out with friends, or just catching up on shows/movies/games/etc.

So it doesn't end up being an unwelcome surprise for anyone, some of my interests could be described as geeky. I watch Anime, and I play Video Games, Board Games, and Tabletop RPGs. Dungeons and Dragons, yes, but my friends and I try to branch out as well, into games like Shadowrun, Deadlands, and my personal favorite, World of Darkness. I like to write horror stories, so it's a good outlet. "How long are you going to keep watching that stuff?" "How long are you going to keep playing those games?" As long as it's fun, and right now it is. Not your thing? No worries, I'll never bring it up, except maybe in the brief context of "that's what I did this weekend".

I also like going to the movies (because even if it's bad, you can still have a good time riffing on it with friends), going to rock concerts, going to live comedy shows, Sampling new beers, liquors and cocktails (It's become something of a hobby lately, out at bars or back at the apartment with friends), and writing horror stories, among other things.

That's probably enough for now. Want to know more? Go ahead and ask.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently graduated from the University of Idaho and I'm finally back in the Seattle area. I'm working as a tech support agent for Google through Xerox and doing some web development on the side. When not working, I try to spend as much time with friends as I can, as I value the time I get to spend with good people very highly. Also, I'm on the healthy living kick lately, so I'm trying to get some cardio in every day and eat healthier (which presumably will involve learning how to cook more things).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Random Trivia, Explaining Things, Comedic Timing, Working with my Hands, and Kissing apparently... (the last one was actually added by popular demand. Yeah, I was surprised too...)
The first things people usually notice about me

I've been told I can be kind of hard to read at first, but get me talking about something I like, or let me get a couple drinks in, and I'll be more emotive.

Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Horror are where it's at for me. As a kid I loved The Lord of the Rings, The Lost Years of Merlin, Ender's Game, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. My favorite book is still The Hobbit. Read it for the first time in seventh grade, and read it again as an adult, and it still holds up. I've really been getting into Neil Gaiman lately as well. Recently read Neverwhere, and it was was the best book I've read in a long time. The Sandman is every bit as good as you've heard as well. Next up is American Gods, which I've heard plenty of good things about. Also recently read Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers, which I also really liked (though I think it needs to be judged separately from the movie). I also try to read books from classic authors when I can. A few I've read recently: Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, H.G. Wells's War of the Worlds, and various stories by H.P. Lovecraft. Ok, so technically it's classic fantasy, sci-fi and horror, but hey, I like what I like.

My favorite movie is Back to the Future. I can think of no other movie that I can watch dozens of times, and still find new things to love every time, not even Star Wars. A few more of my favorites, in no particular order: The Thing, Let Me In, Highlander, Clerks, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, The Godfather Part 1, Rambo: First Blood, Sin City, Kill Bill, Die Hard, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Almost Famous, Chicago, Ghostbusters, Shaun of the Dead, Interview with the Vampire, Desperado, Collateral, Casino Royale, Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai, Fight Club, Bonnie and Clyde, The Warriors, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Clue, Scream, Battle Royale, From Dusk Till Dawn, Aliens, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Robin Hood - Men In Tights, The Boondock Saints, The Girl Next Door, The Princess Bride. A couple patterns that I picked up on: a lot of my favorites are cult movies, and I have a particular preference for Robert Rodriguez as a director.

A short list of TV shows that I like: Futurama, The Daily Show, Arrested Development, Lost, Heroes, Firefly, True Blood, Scrubs, Game of Thrones, Quantum Leap, 30 Days, Red Dwarf, Freaks and Geeks, Batman: The Animated Series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Adventure Time.

I have an eclectic taste in music, ranging from Classical to Hip-Hop to EDM. Still, at the end of the day, I love the Rock&Roll music most of all. Classic Rock, Punk, Metal, Grunge, Prog Rock, Alt Rock, it's all good. My favorite band of all time is, and shall remain, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but here are a few of my other favorites: Stone Temple Pilots, Rob Zombie, Pink Floyd, Prodigy, Rage Against the Machine, Disturbed, The Ramones, Aerosmith, Sublime, Metallica, Johnny Cash, Eric Clapton, Van Halen, ACDC, The Crystal Method, Guns N' Roses, Deep Purple, Beck, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Ozzy Osbourne, ZZ Top, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Alice in Chains, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Soundgarden, Green Day, MOVE, Judas Priest, Queen, Skrillex, Deadmau5, Knife Party, The Doors, Tech N9ne, and U2

(Apparently it's cliche now to say "I like everything except country" but I really, truly despise country music.)

Because of how filling and delicious it is, and how infrequently I allow myself to indulge in it nowadays in the pursuit of healthier living, I'll say Italian food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good Friends,
A Sense of Humor,
The Internet,
A Car,
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever random thing comes to mind, hopefully new story ideas, or just the soundtrack playing in my head at any given time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends, at a restaurant, the movies, a rock concert, or a live comedy show. Or if that's not an option, chipping away at the huge backlog of movies, shows, games, and books I still need to get through...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This will probably make me sound like a douche, but it needs to be said regardless: I hate the outdoors. I hate hiking, I hate camping, and I hate being out in the wilderness. I need technology, I need artificial light, and I need civilization. I was a boy scout in my teenage years, and made it to Eagle Scout, so I've had about as much nature as I can stand for one lifetime. So, if you're biggest interests include "camping", "hiking", "four-wheeling", "horseback-riding" or anything like that, please either look elsewhere, or accept that if you ask me to do it with you, my answer will most likely be no. It's better if you do it with people who can appreciate and share in your interests. It will take a very special woman to make me ever want to sleep in a tent again...

As a disclaimer, this doesn't mean I have an aversion to being outside period. I still go for walks around the neighborhood pretty regularly, and jogs in the park from time to time. It's just being in the woods or anything like it that I don't care for.

You're a chill person, and want someone else to be chill with.

You have some goals in your life, no matter how small, that you're working towards.

You'd be perfectly happy being a geek for the rest of your life, never feeling the need to "grow out of" stuff you like, and even better if you can find someone else to share your geekiness with.
