Oh where to start. I had something really corny and carefully
written before, which sounded sophisticated and crap. But everytime
I reread it, I came off as prick. So this is my revised attempt to
apologize and start anew.
Although I feel that I am perfectly happy being single, my good friends are telling me that I'm really not that happy. Sometimes we have to look outside ourselves to seek happiness, and so I will take their advice and move fwd with this internet dating thing. I used to be an extremely social creature, only to draw back and be a comfortable recluse. Heart broken once....and perhaps it was that that caused me to shield up and be more introspective. I believe in timing, and lots and lots of serendipity. Lets just leave it at that. Actually lets not.
If you are a kind-hearted soul, with a streak of childish spunk that loves to have fun whenever the opportunity presents itself, than by all means, turn in your application! Being an average looking guy on a dating website, I am far from picky. You will need the pass my litmus test of course..which may or may not include doing the hola hoop after taking one too many shots of hard liquor -dexterity, being able to laugh endlessly at my corny jokes (trust me, they're bad) - sympathy, and having a sustained, intelligent conversation about the nature of entropy and the arrow of time as it relates to our human existence - intellect.
