My self-summary
I never know what to write on things like this. I'm a student and a dreamer. I've studied a lot of literature and other subjects in the humanities, which I loved. I like subjects concerning the humanities and art, but now I've suddenly found myself in law-school.

I like to be in nature and to travel, and when I travel, I like to do so by train or boat - even if it's a long journey. I like how one can view the surrounding landscape from the train (or boat) and that you have time to be bored and to think your own thoughts while moving from point A to point B.

Besides of the humanities, the arts, reading and writing, nature and travel, I also like to be with my friends and my family.
What I’m doing with my life
I don't know actually. Somehow, I ended up in law-school at Stockholm University instead of master studies in literature and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that. But when I'm not having existential angst over my life-choices I like to read, write and spend time with family and friends. I also work extra sometimes at a bookstore.

The reason I'm conflicted about the law-school vs. literature studies situation is because while I really love reading and writing and researching literature, I also got into the law-program and if I were to complete it, I'd be sure of a high-income job later on in life. And law can be pretty fun sometimes. But what I really want to do is to become a writer.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at writing, thought I'm a much better writer in my native Swedish than in English. I am also really good at logic reasoning and noticing patterns in things; whether in theoretical arguments or in art or in relationships. I'm also really good at procrastination, but I'm working on that.

A fun thing that I've always been good at has been reading maps and have always been good at orienting myself; adapting to new environments and finding my way home. I like reading atlases and city-maps, they also make my imagination soar.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I used to list all the books/authors, movies and music I liked, but now I feel that's kind of boring, so instead I'll write something different.

Since the main focus of my studies recently have been literary studies, it will come as no surprise that I like loads of books and authors. I like fantasy and science-fiction and feminist literature and poetry and modern and post-modern literature and Shakespeare and fanfiction.

I like ancient texts like The Gilgamesh Epic or Homers' Illiad and Odyssey, and I love Sappho. I also like the poetry and prose of the Romanticism. I love Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters. I will always have a soft spot for Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes. I like the modernists, and even thought I haven't finished Joyces Ulysses or Prousts In Search of Lost Times, I think they are wonderful. I love Virginia Woolf with all my heart. Other authors that I like are C J L Almqvist, Emilie Flygare-Carlén, Fredrika Bremer, Victoria Benedictsson, Sigrid Undset, Selma Lagerlöf, Astrid Lindgren, Eyvind Johnson, Harry Martinson, Per Lagerkvist, Edgar Allan Poe, Tolkien, Shirley Jackson...

Of current literature and authors, I like Neil Gaiman, Susanna Clarke, Stephen Fry, Haruki Murakami, Sara Stridsberg, Maria Sveland, Johannes Anyuro, Paul Auster, Suzanne Collins, Lev Grosman and many more.

In movies, I watch most things, but I really like oldies, indies, fantasy, science-fiction, film noir, Ingmar Bergman, musicals, Tarantino, horror, Hitchcock, films that aren't produced in Hollywood, period/costume films, Star Wars, silent film and more.

Some of the TV-shows I like would be: Battlestar Galactica, Pushing Dasies, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Black Books, Once Upon A Time, Mad Men, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Hannibal, Poirot, Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, Jeeves and Wooster...

I need music to live and I'm kind of eclectic in my taste of music. I like most genres of music thought there are some that I prefer more than others. I like classical music and jazz. I like pop. Rock. Disney songs will always make me happy. Some of the bands and musicians I like are, in no specific order, as follows: Florence + the Machine, Édith Piaf, Monica Zetterlund, Marina and the Diamonds, Queen, David Bowie, Håkan Hellström, First Aid Kit, Patti Smith, Anthony & the Johnsons, Fleet Foxes, Jeff Buckley, Laleh, Regina Spektor, Bon Iver, Bob Dylan, Imperiet, The Who, Marilyn Monroe, Rufus Wainwright, Jefferson Airplane, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Kate Bush, Yann Tiersen, Lou Reed, Nina Simone, The Puppini Sisters, Billie Holiday, Mulatu Astatke, and more that I cannot remember now.
The six things I could never do without
A notebook and a pen, green tea, access to a library, nearness to nature and the sea, a radio, perfume
On a typical Friday night I am
Reading or spending time with friends or watching tv at my fathers home or watching a movie.
