I am sensitive, caring, and independent.
My Self-Summary
I´m here to meet interesting people from all over the world.
There are a lot of things which fascinates me and then I´m trying
to learn more about something. I´ve read a fantasy novel and became
fascinated with quantum theory so I bought a book and read about
it.
Same with quality control and C##.
No, I´m not always doing serious stuff. I love to laugh and joke,
going out for a game of darts or pool and a guiness.
I like good strong coffee, long walks, stormy days, long
conversations, hot tea on a cold day, collecting shells, Ireland,
candles, guitar music, warm rain on a sunny day, smiles, my karate
katas...to be continued
I am a creative person and like to paint, write and cook. And I´m
someone who loves to solve puzzles. Like Soduku; what makes a
person tick; how to get something done in ten different ways; why
do people scowl when it´s easier to smile....
Helped making wine in Brazil, went fishing for sea trout in the icy
seas off Denmark, herded sheep in Germany. And I truly hope there´s
more to see and explore...
I´m really good at listening to what people have to say, seldom
loose my smile and have seen too much to get stomach cramps over
ridiculious things.
QUESTIONS : Some are just ridiculous, most just can´t be answered
choosing from 4 answers, some I´ll discuss only between the two of
us :-)
But I will answer a few more anyway.
KEY QUESTIONS : If you decide to contact me - great, just do it!
But I´m NOT going to answer questions first before being allowed to
send a mail back.
What I’m doing with my life
is to give it the best shot at everything I do.
No great plan written in ink - only an outsketch drawn with the
light stroke of a pencil.
I’m really good at
Listening; help people to figure out things in a subtle way;
adapting to different countries, people, lifestyle; staying cool
and organized when others are already near their break down point;
improvising
sensing other peoples mood
Doing everything the best I can and always giving a 100
percent.
Someone said : Cooking is like making love. Without passion it´s
boring and tasteless. I think it´s the same with everything else,
too.
If you don´t want to give your best and try wholeheartedly - just
don´t do it at all.
Making tough choices really fast.
The first things people usually notice about me
Nothing - until I want them to...:>)
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love reading and there´s a wide range of themes I´m interested
in.
Fantasy like Wheel of Time, Song of Ice and Fire and Pratchett
novels.
Thrillers. A few authors I like are DeMille, Patterson, McDermitt
and Koontz.
Oh yes, and The Dark Tower series by King and Lord of the rings
books.
Books about writing, quality control, quantum theory, origami,
cooking and those "How to.." books. How to build something (like a
tree house), how to cook Chinese food, how to write a profile
:o)
My favorite Pratchett quote right now:
Peoples whole lives DO pass in front of their eyes before they
die...
...the process is called "living".
Movies... like Rainman, Lord of the rings, Green Mile.
I like Freeman, Eastwood, Bronson - the old garde of
superstars.
Music...country; classic; rock; irish folk. Depends on my mood.
From Cat Stevens to Carreras.
Latest pieces I bought: Il Divo, Eros Ramazzotti, Andrea Bocelli,
Tanya Tucker, Mike Oldfield, Josh Groban, Freddie
Mercury&Montserrat Caballe, Doro
Like to cook, especially wok dinners, but italian and plain and
simple "Hausmannskost" too.
Very important: I take my time to really enjoy what I´m eating. I´d
rather starve than eating something on the run.
The six things I could never do without
Family and friends
Feelings
Nature
Curiosity
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the adventures that hopefully still lay ahead.
why okcupid and I constantly disagree about who matches me.
Communication - or most times the lack of it
There is a proverb which describes communication pretty well:
"Once we realize that imperfect understanding is the human
condition, there is no shame in being wrong - only in failing to
correct our mistakes!"
Okay, let´s say two people meet and one of them is saying:It´s
pretty hot today. There are at least four ways the other one can
interpret this statement. So if we`d have a conversations about an
hour long, how much mistakes did we both made in interpreting the
other´s words???
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I`m usually doing something or other and get things done, but
sometimes I need a real challenge not to drop into lazyness.
You should message me if
you feel like it for whatever reason
