I am nietzschean, quintessential, and intellectual.
My Self-Summary
Hmmm... what to say... I enjoy sports, particularly
soccer,
badminton,
rock/wall climbing, and
volleyball. I'm
an
English and
Philosophy
Honours student, soon to have finished my final exam and have my
degree at long last (after 4 years and two final terms from hell).
I enjoy
writing,
mostly
poetry and
song lyrics,
though at the moment I am in the process of writing a play (Update:
Play is on hiatus. I need inspiration. Generally in the form of a
beautiful woman. Beauty is truly inspirational, and I need a muse.
Jan 15th, 2008). I truly enjoy
ballroom dance, particularly
tango and
waltz. I'm a member of the
medieval recreationist group called the
SCA, I'm very open minded when it comes to
pretty much anything, and I'm seeking similarly open-minded people
who want to experience life in all its glory.
At this particular moment in time I am seeking to be
inspired on both a
physical and an emotional level by some lovely young lass who wants
to be immortalized in poetry (in the style, perhaps, of
Neruda ;) ). As of yet, none
have expressed interest. 'Tis tragic.
What I’m doing with my life
Got my double Honours in English and Philosophy. Hopefully pushing
forward to do a Master's and a Ph.D. in Philosophy. I'd love to get
a tenured professorship position while I write freelance.
Update: Got into a Masters! A year and a half left to go (Jan
2009)
Alternative plans include the possible purchase and running of a
used Book Store in some mild clime'd, artsy type city where I don't
have to worry about freezing to death walking outside in February.
There's something to be said for a bit of snow now and again, but
this is ridiculous.
I’m really good at
Poetry, singing, debating, soccer, cooking, and many other
things... What other things? You'll have to ask and find out
;)
Also, I have somewhat of a gift for languages. Currently fluent in
English and French; passable in Old English, Middle English, Old
French, Ancient Greek, and Latin; and if you give me lots of time,
I can puzzle out German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, and a variety of
other languages at a rudimentary level.
The first things people usually notice about me
My voice. I'm told I have a very nice voice, and that I sound even
better when I'm singing. It's usually a very strong voice, so often
I'm heard before I'm seen, or more accurately, before I'm
noticed.
Other than that, probably my height. I'm 6'3, and so very easily
noticed if your eyes are open.

collections.
D) Anything really. I love seafood, particularly good sushi, but
anything else is good as well.
The six things I could never do without
Philosophy,
books,
cuddles (I never get enough
of 'em *sighs*),
sex,
cherries (yes, the fruit :P), and home-baked
cookies.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Philosophy, history, old english, romance (and I'll be honest,
seduction as well ;) ), Platonic dialogues, art and aesthetics...
frankly, there is very little I don't think about at some time or
another, though admittedly some topics get far more reflection than
others.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working and sleeping. I'd love an alternative, but I've just never
been introduced to a group that actually does stuff on Friday
nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Here, for the nonce, I will admit to being an idealistic
romantic trapped in a
cynic's world, which admittedly is somewhat a
paradox of existence. If you want
to actually *know* things about me... try asking ;)
You should message me if
You're interested in discussing philosophy,
politics,
human nature,
society, or pretty much any other
topic, or if you're intrigued by my above comment of "The most
private thing I'm willing to admit here". Or if you just want
someone to listen and offer advice.
Or, really, if you just want to get to know a new and interesting
person.
