Look. The way I see it is this. It's all about rhythm. It's all about pattern. Look at lovers making love. It started with a heartbeat. There's the rhythm. Now that's the engine for all of this. That basic rhythm. The thing about engines is, they have to be calibrated. they have to be aligned...But when they are ticking over just right. well...Everything works. Watch the rhythm of their bodies. moving together. watch the man pushing. the woman arching. look at the blood pumping. look at the cells dying and being replaced. look at the cycles of motion. beating in time with the heart. now look at the skies. cycling above our heads. look at the moon conducting the waters on the shore. look at the sun clocking the planets. now look further. further… See the stars moving away from the heart. Accelerating, then steadying. then slowly. Slowly they stop and start to contract. gradually retracing their steps. gathering momentum. smaller counter rhythms set up constantly as the stars converge. faster. faster.. until... BANG!
A pulse that sends the blood of the universe out to the four corners. A huge wave of matter flying out in all directions at once. And so the cycle begins again. Acceleration. Steadying. Deceleration. Stop. contract. BANG. Do you see?
We are living inside the heartbeat of god.
Damned impressive.

I was thinking that I realize that the older I get, the easier it is to see the patterns. how obvious the connections seem to be. And how the more I look, the more connections I see. types of people. types of good times. I was wondering how far back you can step. or how far back you have to step before you see the whole picture. An infinite web of connections and patterns. and i was wondering that..maybe..maybe you get to the point in your life when all you see are the patterns. that maybe you reach a point where you've seen them all before, And although there may be a new wrinkle or two, basically you recognize all the cycles. all the patterns..
And maybe THAT'S what makes dying bearable. Maybe you could say.. 'Okay. Ive seen all this before. Maybe not EXACTLY this.. but i can extrapolate.'. I can imagine how this turns out.. and maybe you can die feeling some sort of understanding..

I honestly don't know if I believe I'll ever find love...much less believe in it in general. I don't think any one has the kind of dedication, self-sacrifice, and want to do the hard work it takes to make a real relationship work.
People make me as sad as they do make me happy.
No one has the balls any more to do what's right =/
