My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A self-identified geek girl who is a hell of a lot more than her nerdy interests. I'm a passionate, smart, and deep person who just happens to also believe that life is best lived enjoying the small things.

To me, it is isn't enough to simply exist; a person must be involved with the world around them. I love to spend time with my friends, and I like making new ones. I love to explore. Discovering new places, whether in another country or another part of town, is a hobby of mine. Sometimes I just need to get out of the house.

In short, I never have free time because I'm always doing something. To catch my attention, hook me with your interests and hobbies.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a UX Designer for a game company in Seattle, although I work on the website instead of the games. I finished my Master of Arts degree this year, and I just moved to Bellevue.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a very creative and active person. I like cosplay and crafting projects, although I'm not sure that I'm an expert. I like swing dancing, and I am pretty good at skiing (Double blacks? No prob, presuming conditions aren't just complete crap).

I like to think I'm good at being diplomatic and resolving conflicts. I'm genuinely interested in the thoughts and feelings of those close to me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I play board and card games such as Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, and Dominion (waaaaay more than that, just some favorites). I used to play D&D and other tabletop RPGs, but I haven't done that recently. I used to raid in WoW, but now I rarely make time for video games. The last games I bought were The Last of Us and Elder Scrolls Online...neither of which I have had time to play. I like strategy games like Civ and Dawn of Discovery.

The last three books I read were Dresden Files: Storm Front, Rogues (an anthology), and The Golden Compass (a re-read). I read mostly fantasy, sci fi, and classic fiction novels. I also love Michael Crichton novels. I really ought to read more of them. Ask me about my favorite epic fantasy series sometime :)

I don't own cable, and I would only watch it if someone else turns it on. I have Netflix, which enables me to watch Doctor Who, Sherlock, Firefly, Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Downton Abbey, and a whole plethora of Regency-era romance series. I am also a rabid fan of Game of Thrones. I read the novels, so I have a tendency to blurt out, “THAT WASN'T IN THE BOOKS!!!” while watching. Sorry. Except not really.

My favorite movies include The Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Emperor's New Groove, The Holiday, Kill Bill, and…well, I’m sure I’m forgetting a few million. Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter go without saying. I mean, you really shouldn't need to ask, right? I used to watch a lot of anime, but not so much anymore. I really like anything by Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli.

Currently, I have Steam Powered Giraffe burned into my soul. I listen to a lot of swing-era music because I dance to it, but it’s not my favorite thing to listen to. I like rock, alternative, classic rock, that new indie rock/pop genre that everybody plays now and tries to pass off as alternative, and 80s pop music. Music isn't really a passion of mine. I still listen to the radio, and I've only bought a handful of mp3s. I know that sounds weird, but...well, I'm weird.

I like all sorts of food, especially foreign cuisine. Indian, Thai, Mexican,'s all good! My favorite is sushi <3 However, I will eat practically anything if given the opportunity. I’m easy to please, and I don’t necessarily feel like price dictates quality. I love to cook and bake. I'm the coworker who brings cupcakes for every minor holiday year-round.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My towel
2. Dr. Pepper
3. Netflix account
4. A really solid swing-out
5. Warm, fuzzy socks
6. A good sense of humor
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I'm obsessed with self improvement. I'm always doing things that constantly project me toward a better place or a new and exciting goal. Experience has taught me this can be stressful for someone who isn't ambitious or forward-thinking, but it's an integral part of who I am. I have a difficult time connecting with people who don't have a passion for *something* in their lives. On the flip side, I highly respect and admire someone who has hobbies or goals.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Every Friday I'm lindy hopping! If I'm not dancing, I'm probably on the road to some adventure or another.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're sincerely looking for a long term relationship. I'm not interested in casual dating or short term relationships. I'm not into poly or open relationships. I want a partner in crime who will stand by my side through the thick and the thin.

Alternatively, if you're looking for someone to go skiing or play board games or go dancing with, I'm down.
