I'm a happy, fun lovin' guy who is looking for a woman who loves to laugh, learn, and hold hands. While I love to laugh and have an active sense of humor I can get serious and do enjoy deep conversations about many subjects. One of the qualities that I admire and aspire to is having an active and open mind. Learning is my great adventure, whether it is developing my artistic style or pursuing new adventures and places, but mainly filling in the gaps in my education. After all; we now know things like quarks, quantum theory, and 32 years of Dr. Who. And: Thankfully SpellCheck.
Politically, I am Independent and Socially Liberal. Maybe not everyone's flavor but isn't that what makes the world go around. My passion, however, is the battle against child and spousal abuse.
The burbs have been home since I was Fifteen and do prefer this lifestyle, I am at home in the big city and tiny towns. as long as I can park, I'm happy!

As a retired former teacher and advertising artist/designer I do keep current on developments in those fields. But my focus is on Art, particularly painting, model building and historical research, and reading for pleasure. I enjoy art fairs, museums, and exploring. Love live music, dance (professional and personal) and theater, the more experimental the better.

I look familiar. At times I resembled the young Kenny Rogers and Bert Reynolds. Now people see my smile and 'sparkling' eyes.

I love Jazz, folk, and most live music. If I had any musical talent I would play something. The best I can do is to be part of drum circles. My reading consists of a wide range of subjects from mysteries to philosophy, art, and history.

I am gluten intolerant, so my food choices are limited. I have learned to cook but fortunately, so many restaurants have gluten free menus that I can eat out regularly.
