Finally in the city of lights... haven't been here in 12 years! So far, so nice, time with family rarely seen, but it also seems like the city has changed a lot. We'll see what the next 2 weeks bring!

New job, and while less travel required, it seems it sends me a lot of further.

This month: Paris! April 28th to May 8th (or thereabouts).

Fun times ahead?

Why do they insist on sending me there over and over again? Nothing against the people there, but I just end up bored every time :/ 4th time's the charm?

Week of May 7th, if you've got a way to enlighten me on how to make it more interesting!

In LA now and Minneapolis next week.... Bored :(

Fortunately, its the fired part that's changing.

I got a job offer yesterday after a few rounds of interviews, which I promptly accepted.

More money in the same industry, yay!

- Getting Engaged on Sunday.

- Got fired on Friday.

The world has interesting timing sometimes.

EDIT: To sum up point one - Went to a wedding in NYC in August, lined up 4 dates in 4 days, and 6 months later one of them has now accepted to be my wife :) Sunday is just a formality with family and friends saying congrats while eating and drinking.

Why do we think the things we think?

Why do we say those same things we think?

Why do we say anything at all?

Why do we do those things we do, those things that you know won't come off the best?

Why... Why do we feel the things we feel, even if we know how much it hurts to feel them?

And why can't I bear the thought of just walking away of what's long lost, why do I hang on to what is left, to what I might be able to get?

The good news is I have 3 weeks to use my tickets, so I'll try to reschedule a bit, perhaps move to come on Sunday perhaps - I'll have to confirm and such, since it means shuffling things with work :) [she'll also be out of the city by then, removing the temptation to call] Anyone that wants to hang out and provide distraction to someone who'd majorly appreciate it, let me know by inbox, and I'll keep you posted
