My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A somewhat quirky individual with an idealistic mind and heart, complete with a rather creative flair. I take to my activities with an honest, amateur's humor, but nonetheless try rather seriously to succeed at the same time.

Originally from out East, New Jersey to be precise, I was formerly very much into reenacting the Revolutionary War (and in having moved to Northfield, I may return to such arts once more...Jesse James and all) and retain interests in creative writing, the theoretical crafting and playing of games (most of all board games and Role Playing Games), enjoying the company of animals, and learning about mythology and history, trying to reconcile all of these rather major interests with secondary interests, such as fencing, skiing, theatregoing, electronic games, acting, and voice. I love to talk with people and learn from them, also hoping they, in turn, can learn from me. If such advice and knowledge is desired, of course.

I am sometimes a bit indecisive, and occasionally sound formal and genteel, but other times can bounce off the walls with glee and excitement. All told, I'm a well intentioned sort. Just a bit shy, donchaknow. And a tad of a romantic.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am basically doing what I can to live life in a way that both stabilizes me financially and enriches myself and others.

I am doing a lot of alternate historical fiction writing, coupled with the design of various cool board and computer game ideas. These two activities, coupled with the more full-time job of soon to be running a Science Fiction/Fantasy/Gaming Book and Board Game Store, will keep me afloat financially.

Back in the past out East, in addition to baristaing, video game QA work, and Q&A on forums for another company, I did oodles of cool volunteer work. This included helping out academically in after school programs that provided in my hometown additional lessons and one on one tutoring in various elementary school classes for recently immigrated Hispanic youth. With the classes all in English, it helped them better prepare for life in Jersey.

I also taught underprivileged youth at risk for emotional trauma in the New York City public school system self confidence and self expression, as well as help them bond amongst each other for support through the theatre arts.

In addition, I took opportunities to bond with the locals of my old town, especially the senior citizenry and occasionally the homeless, taking time to listen to their stories, keep them company, and doing whatever else I can to aid them, whether as a second pair of hands or teaching them computer skills.

Finally, I used to reenact the Revolutionary War, the better to help people understand the true nature of the horrors of war, but also give a more accurate account behind the true story of our nation's founding, and show that it was largely based off of misunderstandings, with good people on all sides, and that it is really the war that makes monsters of us all.

I hope to, as forms of future volunteer work, continue all four activities in this vein.

I've maybe driven a motor vehicle all of fifteen times in the past ten years since I received a license, the product of there being much mass transportation back in Jersey. As such am a little afraid to be behind the wheel at any time. I am, however, working to develop a means of conquering these fears.
