My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A somewhat quirky individual with an idealistic mind and heart, complete with a rather creative flair. I take to my activities with an honest, amateur's humor, but nonetheless try rather seriously to succeed at the same time.

Originally from out East, New Jersey to be precise, I was formerly very much into reenacting the Revolutionary War (and in having moved to Northfield, I may return to such arts once more...Jesse James and all) and retain interests in creative writing, the theoretical crafting and playing of games (most of all board games and Role Playing Games), enjoying the company of animals, and learning about mythology and history, trying to reconcile all of these rather major interests with secondary interests, such as fencing, skiing, theatregoing, electronic games, acting, and voice. I love to talk with people and learn from them, also hoping they, in turn, can learn from me. If such advice and knowledge is desired, of course.

I am sometimes a bit indecisive, and occasionally sound formal and genteel, but other times can bounce off the walls with glee and excitement. All told, I'm a well intentioned sort. Just a bit shy, donchaknow. And a tad of a romantic.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
In short, I am about two months in to owning a Science Fiction/Fantasy/Gaming bookstore. I run it from the afternoon to late hours, and spend the rest of my time writing and designing historical fiction and fantasy novels, as well as board games.

Given any additional time, I might hang out at the nearby Carleton College (my alma mater) to audit classes with the professors I so loved, as well as to enjoy their anime club and folk singing club. I might also spend that time to sleep. Maybe.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Imaginative pursuits in general.
Weaving a good tale
Explaining some War History
Offering an open mind to and listening to, as well as sympathizing with the woes of others
Representing the rather small demographic of "Relatively left wing, pacifistic reenactors of history" :P
Befriending animals
Discussing Mythology

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've maybe driven a motor vehicle all of fifteen times in the past ten years since I received a license, the product of there being much mass transportation back in Jersey. As such am a little afraid to be behind the wheel at any time. I am, however, working to develop a means of conquering these fears.
