Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
The human mind is what interests me most in the world; I like to
introspect, have novel mental experiences, and learn about the
perspectives of others. Oftentimes my favorite people to interact
with are close friends and people I'll never see again, as with
those people it's much easier to not worry about looking
I browse the internet pretty frequently. It's a great way to
observe insanity as well as that dark side of everyday people
that's more frequently exposed when they can hide behind the shroud
of anonimity. Lately my favorite sorts of people to observe are the
"social justice" bloggers that are frequent on tumblr.
I'm more or less socially competent, and on occassion I can even
manage to be charming. Alcohol can help, but I don't want to use it
as a crutch. I've been responsible for more than one awkward
moment, but I at least say I have enough self-awareness to realize
I do what I can to be responsbible, honest, and considerate. My
biggest faults are probably laziness and procrastination. For
better or worse, my instincts tend towards observation over action.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
This spring I'll be graduating from the University of Washington
with a bachelor's in linguistics. After that, I plan on teaching
English in South Korea for a year starting in the fall. What I end
up doing after that depends on how much I enjoy it, but I think
there's a chance I'll spend the next few years of my life
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My language and writing skills are pretty good. I don't have much
in the way of non-verbal artistic skills, so I like to write when I
feel like I need a creative outlet.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I let it grow long enough, the thing that stands out the most
about my appearance would be my beard. In terms of the first
impressions people tend to get in terms of my personality, I think
people can pick up that I'm more or less an easygoing person.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
It's actually been a while since I've read that much fiction, but I
did recently read some short stories by Haruki Murakami that I
really enjoyed. The Big Lebowski and Requiem for a Dream are
probably my two favorite movies. Louie and Adventure Time are my
favorite currently-running shows. I also like The Daily Show and
The Colbert Report. I do enjoy some anime every now and then, too.
In terms of music, I guess I like electronic.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family, friends, animals, internet, peace and quiet.
I can survive without them, but it wouldn't be quite as enjoyable.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything; ideas
for stories; and past embarrassments.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching television episodes, playing video games. and messaging
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've seen a lot of strange porn, and I've been surprised to find
that I enjoy some of the weirder kinds.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Go ahead and message me if you feel like it. I'm not out to
embarrass people, and I'm not about to turn down a nice chat or an
exchange of wit just because I'm not interested.
It would probably also be a good idea to message me if you happen
to be my future soulmate or a smoking babe that finds me
attractive. Either one would be pretty good.
