My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am curious, playful, kindhearted, open- minded and would like to meet a man who possesses similar qualities. Feminine and fit, I keep my “girlish figure” by working out at the gym and walking (a lot). I volunteer monthly with a few non-profits whose missions are particularly meaningful to me. I believe it is important to do my part to help others who are less fortunate than I.

Passionate about travel and exploring, I am always thinking and planning a new adventure. Recently returned from a trip to NYC. Love it there but the weather is too cold to make it my home. In 2012 I took a trip to Tanzania to go on safari- a trip of a life time. Eastern Europe and Asia are next on my list.

I own a business but have time to play and enjoy life. If you like baseball, warm weather, museums, movies, listening to music, tasty food and wine and a little something sweet at the end of a meal, we will probably get along. Life is good, and I would like to share it with a man who loves his life and would like to add a great woman to it!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to do my share. I volunteer weekly; sometimes with animals, sometimes with people.

Enjoyed a trip back to the East Coast recently but now I'm home and trying to get back into the swing of things. It was a great trip but I'm happy to be home again.

Working on my house (1930's stucco which always needs something.) Thinking about my next travel adventure. Some day I would like to take a long road trip and visit a lot of the national parks.

Learning to accept joy and let go of fear! Living in the moment when I think of it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Discovering the good in others.
Engaging in conversation and getting you to engage with me.
Working through the difficult stuff.
Being very flexible in attitude and actions.
Being a good friend.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile.
I look younger than my age. Guess I got good genes when it comes to my looks.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: mostly fiction, historical fiction and the occasional trashy novel. Currently reading Americanah which is fabulous. Recently finished The Silver Star by Jeanette walls. Next is The Glass Castle by her. If you have a suggestion, I'd like to hear it. Always looking for a good read.
Movies: Anything other than violent ones. Usually see the big blockbusters in advance of the Academy Awards.
Music: almost anything, Rock N Roll and Jazz.
I keep up with the latest groups by listening to the radio as I travel around the Bay for my work.
Shows: Occasionally a play at Berkeley Rep or Curran, dance at YBCA or Zellerbach.
TV: Totally into American Crime right now. Like Downton Abby, Masters of Sex and on Netflix, Last Tango in Halafax. Love the premise of that. In the scheme of things, I really don't watch very much TV though.
Food: I like it all including Southern (really good fried chicken and bread pudding are favs) California cuisine, Thai, Burmese, Vietnamese, Japanese Mexican, American esp burgers and fries, pizza (Arezmendi). Can't do very spicy though.
Drink: A great glass of Pinot Noir.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Relationships/family, friends.
2. A valid passport so I can travel.
3. Baseball
4. Sunshine and warm weather.
5. Coffee in the morning and a little something sweet at the end of the day.
6. Daily exercise. It just makes me feel good.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The state of the world and why it is so messed up. The meaning of life. How to find you.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually something fun like going to the de Young, a movie or dinner with friends. Sometimes its nice to stay at home and read or watch a movie. Baseball games during the season when the weather is warm.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My dentist says I have great teeth.
I am not afraid of commitment. I'm ready for it.
