My self-summary
Hey, good to meet you!

OH MY GOD - I love to travel, too! And trying new restaurants? HOLEY MOLEY, that is an interest of mine, as well. Wait a second - are you telling me you are just as comfortable in sweatpants as you are in a cocktail dress?? That's just the type of woman I like! LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT- you also like to take it easy on some Friday nights and watch a movie, but other times you like to paint the town? WE MUST BE SOULMATES!!

Sorry for the snark! After reading all these profiles, I've found that there seems to be a fair amount of similarities in the 20 and 30 somethings that populate the District. Anyway, I'm having a great time with life. I've been in the DC area for almost 3 years now and, like many, looking for a great partner to share my most excellent life with. I have pretty much everything I've ever desired - a dream job, wonderful and supportive friends and family, my own house, interesting activities and hobbies. Now, to round everything out, I'm looking for that special someone. I'm glad you stopped by!
What I’m doing with my life
Tumor zapper! I'm an oncologist
I’m really good at
My job, finding great articles to read for myself and friends, making people smile, brewing beer, supporting people, cooking. How about things I like to do that I'm not good at? Yoga, Crossfit, biking, swimming. I just went surfing, and man, I'm bad at that! But, I'm getting better at all of them.

I'm also trying to write, here is my first travel narrative, let me know what you think:
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - just read a fantastic one called "Shotgun Lovesongs" - so good, "Goldfinc" "The Interestings" - I highly recommend. Other recent gems - "Detroit City Is the Place To Be", "This Is How You Lose Her", "Lionel Asbo", "The Fault In Our Stars". Yeah, I'm a reader.

Movies - recently saw "Kings of Summer" which was really cute. I like most movies, really have a low threshold for enjoyment.

Shows - Friday Night Lights, New Girl, Mad Men, West Wing, Girls, Veep, Entourage, House of Cards, House of Lies, The Sopranos

Music - this getting tedious. I like indie rock, rap music, some country.

Food - way into this. I particularly like Asian food (Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indian), but Mexican, Spanish, Italian, well just about every food is exciting for me. I read a ton about it on the local blogs and enjoy taking food vacations.
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
fixing health care, why bad things happen to good people, where to get the next best meal.
On a typical Friday night I am
Making dinner or meeting up with friends for dinner, then maybe get some cocktails. I enjoy seeing live music, but haven't done that much recently. Anyone I should go see?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I'll lose my hair before I find "the one"
