I am silly, bibliophilic, and compassionate.
My Self-Summary
I'm a student from
Ohio. I love
animals and am open to try new things
that come my way. I am looking for
intelligent life in the opposite sex
and have been striking out lately. I love to
travel and just got back from an awesome
and life-altering trip to
Alaska. I have a strong sense of
wanderlust but
an even stronger, over-riding sense of responsibilty,
unfortunately.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a student (have been forever). I work at a pharmacy. I'm
waiting for that *instant* (or hell, even gradual) moment when I'll
begin to feel like an adult.
I’m really good at
I've been told that I'm very calm in stressful situations ,does
that count?
The first things people usually notice about me
I usually get comments on my smile, and not very many of those at
that.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love to read and my favorite book is
Pride and Prejudice. I feel
like a 12 year old for saying so but I've also really liked the
Stephenie
Meyer books. I used to read non-stop but I've slowed to about
one book per week. I don't think I have a favorite genre but I do
tend to shy away from law/military fiction. I listen to lots of
different styles of music like
Ben Harper,
Damien Rice,
Janis Joplin,
Rilo Kiley,
Death Cab for Cutie,
Jeff
Buckley,
Fleet
Foxes,
Jay Z,
The Ting
Tings,
Ray
Lamontagne,
Nickleback,
Queen,
Guns N Roses,
Feist and
Battlefield Band. I tend to
either listen to a CD or the local
classical station in the car. My
favorite food is probably chinese food. Shows are
Supernatural,
True Blood,
Mythbusters and
The Office.
The six things I could never do without
My laptop, common sense, dogs, family, friends, and my bed.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future and how well I can shape it. I like to think about
finishing my degree, buying a nice car of my own choosing, buying
my first home and my next big vacation. I also think a lot about my
family and how I can help them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working, at home or out with my friends or family. I really like
the idea of going out to bars and clubs with friends but so far my
experience has not been such that would elicit me going every
weekend like some social folks. I am not throwing in the towel yet,
maybe I just haven't found the right place to hang at. I prefer
going to a movie or out to eat or doing something else, bar hopping
just doesn't sound that fun for someone of the non-promiscuous
persuasion.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have a really tough time with trying NOT to come across as
stand-offish and conservative and have to fight these inclinations
when I meet new people. It's this weird self-preservation thing
that I can't shake. Once people get to know me they see that I'm
fairly goofy and nontraditional.
