My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'd rather be nine peoples' favourite thing than a hundred peoples' ninth favourite thing.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writing things. Drawing things. Thinking about flying. Attempting to save a bit of money for travel or study. Accidentally spending that money on books, DVDs, or music instead.

On top of that I'm also going to live comedy shows, watching YouTube videos at 2am, planning things that I may never actually do, and putting off learning to drive for as long as possible. (I may be losing that last battle, as the handiness of having a license is becoming more and more evident.)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Going to live comedy shows. Keeping secrets. Procrastinating, even with things I enjoy doing. Forgetting things I was about to say or do just moments after I thought of them. Buying ten books for every one that I read. Lurking in corners. Making dumb jokes. Laughing at dumb jokes. The art of sarcasm.

I am also passably good at arty endeavours including drawing, crafts, and creative writing.

I'm passionate about creativity and have a good sense of humour, and I tend to do well at anything that allows me to embrace these things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My uncanny resemblance to Gary Oldman in his role as James Gordon in Nolan's Batman films. It's the moustache.

(Really though, you'd have to ask people who aren't me, if you want to know this. It could be my hair...?)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I like books. I buy them infinitely faster than I read them, though. I currently have about 50 in my 'to read' pile. There are even more on my 'to read' list.

Movies: Wes Anderson's filmography, and basically anything Pixar. I dig The Avengers (an unhealthy amount), and a lot of other things. Jumanji and The Princess Bride are two of the best films of all time, and I refuse to believe otherwise. I also like Weekend At Bernie's a lot more than I probably should.

TV: Supernatural, Brooklyn Nine Nine, and Community are three of my favourites, but I am a huge fan of a great many shows. I started watching 30 Rock at long last a few weeks ago, and am loving it! Lately I've been itching to rewatch The Mighty Boosh, Flight of the Conchords, and/or all of Friends (for the umpteenth time). I also think Joss Whedon deserves a special mention here for being the greatest person ever to have evered, but I really, really love a lot of TV.

Music: Again, so many things. Warren Zevon, Darren Hanlon, The Mountain Goats, Elton John, The Decemberists, Bright Eyes, Neil Young, The Whitlams, Queen, David Bowie, Jack White/The White Stripes, Split Enz... There are too many artists I love to ever write a proper list, and this one barely scratches the surface.

Podcasts: The Thrilling Adventure Hour, Welcome to Night Vale, Dead Authors Podcast. Probably others, but I've not yet delved very far into the podcast world.

Food: Yes. Good. I don't like pumpkin, salmon, or asparagus.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Internet access, live comedy, good TV shows, something to write on and with, music, and strong pain meds.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why I always seem to end up going to the movies alone. Whether or not that actually bothers me.

My fantasy career as a published author/screenwriter/poet/playwright.

What superpower I'd want.

My ultimate Pokemon team.

Possible offbeat graphic novel characters, and their stories.

Where I want to be and what I want to be doing. Comedy and comedians. Love. Travel. The future. Life.

Oh, and also Diddy Kong Racing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Wishing I was at a costume party, or a comedy show.

Sometimes I actually am at a comedy show, but that's usually on a Saturday night.

I may also be playing a card game, making something arty, watching my favourite YouTubers, or plotting my next great unfinished (read: unstarted) novel.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not only can I not drive a car, but I don't even know how to ride a bike.

I once spent $140 on a single CD.

I'm a bit scared of ants.
