My self-summary
The official "Hi, My Name is.." sticker : I'm a registration services assistant, spa receptionist, and church chorister by day and all my other unofficial job titles by night (friend/therapist, f*g hag, performer, sarcastic b*tch, walking dichotomy and any other assorted terms used to describe the multitude of personalities that are inhabiting my body). Favorite pasttimes include: music, theatre, reading, occasional inebriation, using an extensive vocabulary to baffle the terminally stupid, infusing sarcasm into every aspect of my life, and of course, spending time with good friends.

What am I looking for? Well, if that isn't the mother of all loaded questions. Asking anyone that questions typically forces them to rattle off some laundry list of impossible qualities that no one human being actually posesses, thus making you look like a giant ball of crazy who will never be satisfied with a mere mortal. And then you're forced to sign up for a dating site :) When all's said and done I want someone who : Is like-minded on most things, but if he isn't, will not be afraid to stay true to his convictions--pandering is not an admirable quality...Someone who thinks the more heinously inappropriate the joke, the better-- If you think misogynistic jokes are as hilarious as I do, (without being an actual misogynist) then we should talk- I'll be in the kitchen.. A man who can understand that a woman being sexually selective does not mean she's frigid...Someone who actually read past that last sentence... A person who can enjoy having a few drinks and watching a band at bar until closing with me one night and be just as happy making dinner and vegging out on the couch together the next.

Y'know, just decent guy :o)

I am a good person, a bad influence, and a contradiction :o).
I’m really good at
singing at the top of my lungs.

cooking huge meals for my friends and family, as we Italian women are genetically predispositioned to do.

being sarcastic.

loving those who are most important to me. In fairness, they make it really easy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read.
Recreationally.
Weird, right? ...I've really enjoyed everything I've read by Anne Rice and Stephen King (which is odd, because I grew up terrified of scary movies, but I love to read scary books. Go figure.), Shel Silverstein makes my heart smile. Also, I loved 'The Hunger Games' trilogy, 'Running With Scissors','Memoirs of a Geisha', 'The Five People You Meet In Heaven', 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time', 'Milk Eggs Vodka', the 'Harry Potter' series (Incidentally, screw you for judging me..), 'My Boring-Ass Life' (Kevin Smith), 'Happy Endings' and 'I Hate Your Guts' (Jim Norton), 'My Booky Wook' (Russell Brand)

In terms of musical taste, there are simply too many genres and artists to list all of them. A sampling of what I consider to be auditory delights include: Muse, Sigur Rós, Newton Faulkner, Adele, Joss Stone, Stephen Lynch, Ben Folds, Stevie Wonder, Kate Nash, Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, The Fray, Prince, Heart, Christina Aguilera, Incubus, Colin Hay, The Beatles, Robin Thicke, Nina Simone, Gavin DeGraw, Etta James, Billy Joel, Fall Out Boy, Queen, Alicia Keys, Most 'old school' Early '90's R&B, Showtunes, Opera/Classical, Blues, Motown, Classic Rock...Ok, so "all" may have been the more concise response...

I'm a bit of a walking IMDB page, so here are just a few of my cinematic loves: 'Grandma's Boy', 'The Princess Bride', 'Fan Boys', 'The Holiday', 'The Shawshank Redemption', 'Clue', 'Young Frankenstein','Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2', 'La Vita è bella', 'Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang'; 'Shaun of the Dead', 'Playing By Heart', 'Sister Act 2', 'Kissing Jessica Stein', 'Wayne's World', 'Let The Right One In', 'Blazing Saddles', 'Garden State', 'Anchorman', 'Waiting', 'Aristocrats', 'Love Actually', 'The Shining', 'Requiem for a Dream', 'Drop Dead Fred', 'Pretty in Pink' (and most 80's teen films), all the Kevin Smith films (not a huge fan of 'Chasing Amy' though, ) anything involving Simon Pegg or Robert Downey, Jr. = amazing, classic old hollywood movie musicals- ('Singin' In the Rain', 'Funny Face', 'On The Town', etc.) and a plethora of others.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
who put the bop in the bop shoo bop shoo bop. Luckily, I'm thisclose to figuring out who put the ram in the rama lama ding dong... Elusive bastard.
On a typical Friday night I am
probably spending time with friends or family. To be honest, I don't know that I necessarily have a "standard" Friday night.. I like to switch things up and keep it interesting if I can help it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm sort of an a cappella nerd ( I used to sing with a semi-professional group in NYC and an all-female group in NJ) and can do a bit of vocal percussion.

  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 26–35
