I'm a kind, intelligent, self motivated guy looking for a great girl that can be my partner in life as well as my best friend.  I'm originally from NYC and moved to the middle of CT several years ago. I work in the insurance industry and I am very proud to say that I am very good at my job. I would definitely classify myself as self-sufficient and independent.  I've got my own place, car, etc.

So while I'm a responsible adult, I'm pretty much a big kid at heart! When I'm into something, I will go out of my way to see it live! Midnight movie premieres, great seats at a concert or other live event, I tend to go all out. For example, I'm a big fan of The Walking Dead so i went to Universal Studios this year, specifically for Halloween Horror Nights since TWD was the main attraction.   I'm into the usual for a guy: movies, music, video games. I'm a fan of karaoke and I used to be a karaoke DJ. Since I did it for so long, I've acquired a diverse taste of music, I can listen to about anything and...I'm starting to enjoy country...*shudder*  Also, if you're a fan of 80's/90's freestyle, bring it on!

I haven't gotten to explore too much of CT.  I haven't been much of an outdoorsy person and I'm willing to change that. Most of my exercise is indoors at the gym. 

Since I'm from NY, I'm a fan of the NY teams (Yankees/Knicks/Giants). 

I've got some amazing stories to tell as I was once on Deal or No Deal a few years back, crazy road stories, I've seen crazy things in NY growing up and lots of other general wacky tales! Some of my closest friends tell me that I'm an amazing storyteller as well as a great listener. 

It's hard to say exactly what I'm looking for. I'm looking for someone who is a lot of fun, has an infectious energy and loves to laugh. 
Someone with a curious mind who enjoys asking questions, learning and is always striving to be better.  

What I'm looking for, most of all, is a connection. Of course, attraction is important but I want a fun conversation, a witty banter and great memories. I'm willing to hold up my end of that deal. Are you?

I have a great professional day job that I love and I'm quite good at. I was most recently a karaoke DJ at night for a few years as well.

I tend to be pretty shy at first, but open up quickly depending on the scenario. If you catch the right topic, watch out!

Books: I just started Book 5 of the Game of Thrones series, A Dance With Dragons. I enjoy Stephen King's works such as The Stand, IT, Christine, Cujo, etc. I also read The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor recently, which was disappointing.

For TV shows, too many to name but here are some of my favorites that are currently still on: The Walking Dead, Dexter, Homeland, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, True Blood, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, The League, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Modern Family, Community, The Office, Parks & Recreation, Big Bang Theory, Arrested Development and How I Met Your Mother.

For Movies: Once again, too many to name, but favorite franchises are: Marvel Universe (everything up to and including Avengers), X-Men, Spiderman, Batman, Saw, Nightmare on Elm St, Back to the Future and many others.

Music: I'm pretty well rounded considering I was a DJ for some time. I'm not a big fan of country or heavy metal though. Also, rap has really gone downhill in my opinion.
