My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well if you could not guess from the username I am single and a dad. Why start off by pointing that out? Well because it's one thing I can never change and I wouldn't if given the chance.

I own my own home and in a few months my car will be paid off and I've decided to live a debit free life.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm taking care of my house and my puppy. I'm secure in who I am and what I want in life so now its time to find new hobbies.

I'm also re-discovering the beautiful city of Houston. I've joined several networking groups and try to attend as many happy hours and get together as I can. I found that my life had just become stagnant going to the same places while in town and wanted to try new things. Want to go on an adventure?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm great at flirting. Looking someone in the eyes and making them feel like they are the most important person in the world.

I'm also fantastic at cooking. I took care of my elderly father (now gone) for several years who was used to eating fast food so I slowly changed out diet from Jack in the Box to pasta and baked salmon and parmesan encrusted pork chops. It's a lot more healthy and delicious.

Oh and I make obscure references quite often. The other day in the office the owner said something about going down the rabbit hole as a reference to getting deep into a project and I spurted out "watch out for anything labeled eat me or drink me. That never turns out well" It went over about as well as could be expected in our environment. (IE it was awesome)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm an absolute smart ass. I'm blunt and direct having no real "game" and I seem to rush head first into things and then learn how to do them afterwards.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm an absolute foodie. As long as it is not shellfish (because it will kill me) I will try to eat anything and then replicate in my kitchen back at home. Presently my favorite dish is parmesan crusted pork loin.

TV and Movies I enjoy anything that does not drag on too long. I prefer comedy over horror.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Smart Phone - The single greatest invention ever.
My Car - Houston is a big city and being able to get around... Have you ever tried to take the bus?
My Kids - They are the reason I work so hard.
The Internet - I mean have you tried to learn something new without it lately?
The ability to cook - And I'm dam good at it!
My Family - They are always there when I'm in need.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life The Universe and Everything!

But seriously lately it has been about how I can help others and give back. Not just helping financially but I also take people in and teach them to budget and try to get them on the right track in their personal lives. I just want all the people around me to be happy.

Oh!And most importantly what's for lunch because I'm starving.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Every other weekend I have my boys. On the weekends that I don't I try to hang out at a local venue and check out an exhibit or band. I have a habit of showing up to things that people half heartedly invited me to on short notice thinking I couldn't make it. Like I went to Dallas after work on Friday for a Saturday morning wedding.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been on this site several times and met a ton of great women. I've come to realize that everyone is a little crazy and that I just need to find a crazy that I can deal with and mirrors or compliments mine. Also that most of the people that it marks me over 95% with I should not bother with. But I'm also up for lunch/dinner to meet a new person.

I had this brilliant plan while growing up to have kids early in life. The thought was since I was going to be young broke and struggling I would just add to that so once I am settled in my career my kids would be old enough to experience things with me not anchors keeping me at home. Now I'm 31 with a 11 and 13yo and we can travel and do whatever we want. My buddy just had a new baby and hasn't been outside his house on a weekend in months... So my plan is great!

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You should message me if you know what you want in life. I am tired of meeting women who have no idea what they want or how the world really works. I'd prefer to meet a single mom who can't/doesn't want to have more children but that does not exclude anyone just a preference.

Oh and if you want to sing this with me at karaoke:
