I recently got divorced and am now looking to start my life over. I've got kids, and nobody will ever come before them. If that's not ok with you then move along. For the record, my kids already have a mother, so I'm not looking for someone to "fill" that role in their lives!

I have neither the time, nor the energy for drama and or games. I've never played them, and have no use for those who do.

When I'm not working I spend time with my kids, unless their mother has them, in which case I love to be outdoors, doing just about anything. I'm not real big into the club scene, I mean I'll go, and I'll have fun, but I can think of better ways to spend my time too.

I am honest, and caring, sometimes to a fault. It's been years since I've been on the dating scene, so I'm not really sure what all to put here.

A few random things about me:

I'm very strong (and vocal) in my beliefs.
I will never compromise who I am at my core for any reason.
I once rode a horse in Madison Square Garden.
I've been known to laugh out loud for no apparent reason...sometimes with very poor timing
I've been shot and I've been stabbed, but outside of work I haven't been in a fight since middle school.
I believe that honesty is not the best policy, it is the only policy.
I do not regret what has happened in my life, even the lousy stuff, because it made me the man I am today.
I tried to sell my daughter on Face Book after she pointed out a gray hair, I got offered $0.45 and a non-milking goat, so I kept her ;)
I'm scared to death of needles, but am going to be getting a tattoo just as soon as I can find the time to sit for it.
I believe that a man should do things like hold the door for a woman. (Chivalry is not dead)
I hate sitting with my back to the entrance in a public place.
I secretly love 80's music, it takes me back to a time when life was simple.
My daughter told me she has a boyfriend....I think I had a mini-heart attack....then I started cleaning my rifle ;)
I love to cook.
I sing...but only in the shower....and really poorly!
I'm incapable of dancing, however I have been known to think I can dance after one too many drinks.
I don't drink much anymore (see above :) )

My first concern is my kids, I'm trying to be the best father I possibly can be, because they deserve nothing less!

My job, making people laugh, skiing (water & snow), not to sound like I'm bragging, but I'm pretty much good at anything I put my mind to.

I'm not sure, I've been told I've got good eyes, but I dunno, you'd have to ask them.

I love to read, however, I don't have a lot of time to do it, unless you count the bedtime stories I read my kids lol

I don't go to the movies very often, I tend to wait till stuff comes out on DVD. I'll watch pretty much anything, in fact I've even been known to watch "chick flicks" without complaining tooooooo much ;)

I'll eat just about anything, except seafood, I'm deathly allergic!

My kids, my family, my friends, my phone (now I know why they call them crackberries!), my 1911, my computer.

Raising my kids to be good, decent people. My job gives me lots of time where it's just me and my thoughts, so my mind is always working.

If it's a Friday that I have my kids you'll find me at the park (if the weather is nice) or doing something fun with them, followed by a "picnic" of pizza in the living room in front of whatever is the "coolest" new kids movie.

If it's a Friday that I don't have my kids then I'll probably be out with my friends just hanging out, maybe on a date, maybe sitting at home enjoying the peace and quiet.

I don't actually live in Shelbyville, I live close but there are some crazy stalker type folks on the internet, so I'm not saying where I live till I get to know someone!
