My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am George. I am even-tempered, I over-think, I am introverted, I over-analyze and you would never be able to tell for the most part due to my loud/enthusiastic behavior around others.

While I'm at it, it is worth noting that I am all manner of Geek/Dork/Nerd as well as part of the slightly uncommon convention-going otaku species.

I've just spent most of my savings to go see a girl half-way around the world in two months. Even if it doesn't work out, it'll be fun, but needless to say I'm pretty serious about her.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I lived on my own for 2 years in Pittsburgh but moved back home for the year to help my family out of a tough bind. Things are going a lot better and I look forward to moving back out on my own and continuing college. Fun Fact: For the first year I lived in Pittsburgh my roommates were two strippers I met on Craigslist. They were some of the nicest, most intelligent people I've ever met.

Currently I work, go to school at a local community college, and intern at a local 3D printing startup. Currently I just make whatever I feel like, such as cookie cutters of anime characters who died being eaten by giants, but I'm hoping to make a career out of it. I have two printers of my own, the latest being one I assembled from a kit with a larger area. Once classes let out I'm planning to try making cosplay props to sell/use as well as experiment with processes such as cold-casting, electrolysis, mold making, and anything I can think of in relation to the technology.

If anyone is interested in having something made, or just talking about the technology because you're curious, feel free to send me a message. I can't get enough of this stuff.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Using the word 'though' too much, driving, fixing things around the apartment, planning for the zombie apocalypse, worrying, laughing at myself. I'm a pretty good gamer as well, RPG's, survival horror, Shooters, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, anything as long as its not a sports game (I hate those anyways)

I also write a little bit here and there, mostly in the format of a short story or novel format
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
They notice that I'm very sociable and outgoing, perhaps that I can be soft spoken at times, funny at others and stern when I need to be.

I suppose it's noticeable pretty early on that I'm quite even tempered as well.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Ringworld, Dies the Fire, Lucifer's Hammer, The Road, anything by Terry Pratchett, anything by Issac Asimov, anything by Cheri Preist, the Destroyerman Series, Calculating God, books by Tom Clancy, Guns of the South, The Armageddon Inheritance, Imperium, 1632, Hatchet and some creative non-fiction pieces like On Writing by Stephen King. (Not listed: Countless other books in the Sci-Fi, Alternate history, Steam-punk and Fantasy genre's)

Movies: Dr. Strangelove, Ghost in the Shell, Independence Day, The Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Spirited Away, Dawn of The Dead (1978), Howl's Moving Castle, Julia & Julia, City of God, Porco Rosso, Wall-E, Iron Man, Star Wars(4-6), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Star Trek (old and new), Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind, Zombieland, Castle In The Sky, Monster's Incorporated, The Last Samurai, Charlie Wilson's War.

Music: I have an eclectic taste in music but classic rock is my favorite. For different tasks and moods I tend to listen to different music. My favorite bands are Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Tesla, ledd zeppelin, Van Halen, AC/DC, Rush and Guns n' Roses.

Food... ohhhh food. I have a rather cheap palette, give me a five guys cheeseburger or a cheese steak and I'll be putty in your hands. I like other foods though, Japanese is great, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, and Puerto Rican too as well as Mediterranean although I haven't had much of it. I'm pretty open minded though if I dislike a food then its kinda like once bitten, twice shy.

NOTE: I didn't list it because there are so many of them but I like anything and everything zombie related (aside from the food category, of course)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Books
2. Video Games
3. People to interact with
4. My computer and accompanying internet
5. Love
6. My Failures. I would be lost and broken without those harsh lessons
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
So much, too much. I guess I think a lot, period. Whether or not any/all of it is hot air is up to whoever I'm speaking with.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, reading and all that good stuff.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I ship Princess Bubblegum and Marcelline SO HARD. Kirito and Lisbeth from Sword Art Online are also meant to be.

I listen to actual play D&D podcasts.

A little fun fact: I was a seat filler at Miss America two summers ago. I went to hang out with friends but I have to admit that it was an interesting experience. Couple that with the whole thing being free and getting a rare chance to wear a suit (which I look great in)... well it was fun, what can I say?

I'm looking for nerd friends locally, and convention going. Preferably both, but more so the former over the latter. I've yet to find someone locally who I can just meet with and talk about:
*Cosplay projects
*P.C. Games

You get the idea. Other than that I really just want to get along and meet up with occasionally for shenanigans, marathons, personal projects, etc. As mentioned above I serious about the girl I am seeing in January. The trip has been in the works for two years, so I can assure you that I am only interested in finding friends.
