The ultimate question. I was a lawyer at a corporate sweatshop in Manhattan for eight months and hated it so I quit. Or they fired me, sometimes I forget which. Anyway, the best part about that job was I learned that you have to like what you do. Greener pastures lie ahead, to be sure.

I was surprised by how much I liked Moby Dick and I thought Beloved was a blockbuster. The Known World is special book that not too many people are familiar with. So many more but no sense in filling up the space, then what would we have to talk about?

Music. So much and always looking for more. Between the ages of 15 and 25 I didn't listen to anything but rap. I could teach a college course about rap music. Then I found one of my brother's Radiohead CD's and everything changed. The National kicks ass. I think Interpol does too, even if my brother doesn't. Gimmie Back My Bullets by Lynyrd Skynyrd is one of the best songs of all time. The Rolling Stones are better than the Beatles (and it's not even close). Plus, I went to an R. Kelly concert in Las Vegas.
